During our recent visit to Orin Swift Wines, we had the immense pleasure of being hosted by Ian Seletzky. From the moment we stepped into the charming world of Orin Swift, Ian greeted us with an infectious warmth that set the stage for an unforgettable experience.

His knowledge of Orin Swift's products is unparalleled, and he shares it with such passion that you can't help but hang on every word. With each pour, Ian detailed the intricate process of winemaking, the unique characteristics of the grapes, and the rich history behind each bottle. His storytelling transported us to the vineyards, and to Dave’s memories (the origin for all these inspiring wines).

What truly sets Ian apart is his ability to connect with his guests. He tailored the experience to our interests, making us feel both valued and understood. We had a remarkable “Paper Tasting” at Orin Swift Wines, especially thanks to Ian Seletsky and the Paper tasting. Ian's attention to detail, incredible storytelling, and genuine kindness made our day incredibly special. He went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable time, even surprising us with chocolates to make our anniversary even “sweeter.” Additionally, he worked to tailor our experience to wines that matched our personal preferences and that we were most interested in trying. Of the many wineries we visited in Napa, this was undoubtedly the best experience.

The wines themselves were outstanding, showcasing nuanced flavors and creative blending strategies. Ian guided us through the different flavors, while also describing the labels origins and stories and answering our many questions, increasing our appreciation for each wine.

Lastly, the tasting space was stunning and comfortable adding to our experience.

We cannot recommend Orin Swift Wines enough!! This visit was a highlight of our Napa trip, and we look forward to returning in the future. Thanks for making it such...

If you know anything at all about Orin Swift, you know to expect the unexpected. That’s just Step 1. For Step 2, be aware that Dave Phinney will take that embrace of the unexpected, and then raise that bar to existential heights. (For Step 3: I recommend doing The Scissors Tasting. And ask for Greg).

Only Dave Phinney (and his fabulous side-kick Greg) can bring to your senses an attention to detail you never thought possible at a “wine tasting.” Maybe because this is not really a wine tasting; It’s a multi-sensory experience of sight, sound, taste, and touch … with wine. If you have Orin Swift on your radar, I am assuming you are least familiar with Dave on a basic level. However, this experience leaves you permanently connected to him in a visceral way. You are now bonded with his brand for life. (…think that’s a bold statement? I stand by it).
