We Loved - and I mean LOVED - our stay at Southbridge. From the small details to the amazing walkable location, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay to visit in Helena in Napa Valley, CA.
They welcome you with a nice personalized sign in your room, complimentary water and apples. The sustainable features are impressive - Instead of plastic bottles and paper cups, they give you a glass carafe and glass cups.
The towels are so soft and plentiful, extra pillows and a blanket supplied we're nicer thany own linens at home, certainly not just the extras. They supply cozy and comfy robes, a duraflame log for the fireplace upon request, and a sweet turn down service with stamped cookies that shout "welcome home."
We enjoyed the walk ability to visit art galleries and boutiques in St. Helena. We attended brunch at Mustard and Dinner reservation at Charter Oak. Yum!!
After a long day of wine tasting, the restaurant next door/attached has delicious wood fired pizzas which we could not pass up! The drinks at the bar were generous and was a nice switch up from wine (although they have wine too, of course!) while we watched the sports game that was on.
We dropped off our Continental breakfast selections which are delivered straight to your room the next morning. We felt so pampered, eating breakfast in the comfort of our own room in our robes and slippers. The mini fridge allowed us to save extras we might want to snack on alter. The Illy espresso machine made it so we could enjoy espresso throughout the day and even a decaf shot at night. The pastries served are on another level and pretty much awards them the best Continental breakfast we've ever had!!
We were sad we didn't get to take advantage of the health spa priveleges, but it felt very nice to know we could have enjoyed the spa and sauna should we have chosen to. They give you a complimentary tasting at Merry ale across the parking lot which is an exceptional value since to reserve online was $60/person. Their wines are fantastic and the people are just as great!
Our trip to Napa Valley was superb thanks to the staff and grounds at Southbridge. We will certainly come again and highly recommend it to others traveling and looking for subtle luxury and...
Read moreMy stay at Southbridge Napa earlier this week for a conference was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff made me feel welcome and valued. The check-in process was smooth, and I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The team at the front desk was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay.
The rooms at Southbridge Napa are nothing short of stunning. They are beautifully designed with elegant decor and offer a cozy, luxurious ambiance. My room was immaculately clean and well-appointed with all the amenities I needed, in addition to having a working wood burning fireplace! The plush bedding and spacious layout provided a relaxing environment to unwind after a long day of meetings.
One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary in-room breakfast. The selection was diverse and satisfying, with fresh pastries, fruits, and a variety of beverages. It was a perfect way to start the day, and the convenience of having breakfast delivered right to my room was a delightful touch.
What truly set Southbridge Napa apart, though, was the exceptional service I received. One morning, I discovered a loose button on my shirt, and the woman at the front desk kindly offered to sew it back on for me. Her willingness to help and genuine care for my well-being was incredibly touching. This level of service is rare and greatly appreciated.
The property itself is breathtaking, surrounded by lush landscapes and serene views. The peaceful atmosphere adds to the overall charm of the place. Whether relaxing by the pool or exploring the beautiful grounds, there was a sense of tranquility that made my stay even more enjoyable.
In summary, Southbridge Napa provided an outstanding experience that exceeded my expectations in every way. From the friendly and accommodating staff to the luxurious accommodations and beautiful surroundings, this hotel is a true gem. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Napa, whether for business or leisure. I will definitely be returning for...
Read moreMy husband and I and another couple traveled to the Napa valley to have dinner at The French Laundry. We looked at several hotels all around the area but since this was not only a holiday weekend but also a large music festival weekend, there were not a ton of options. We selected Southbridge based on location, mostly, but I noticed it was almost double what I paid the last time I spent a weekend in Napa where I stayed downtown in a gorgeous hotel with a fireplace on the balcony, a poster bed, and a gigantic bathroom with a huge tub. Southbridge was clean, the staff was very nice and friendly, housekeeping was done promptly, and it was reasonably comfortable. That's the same thing I can say for a midlevel corporate hotel at a third of the price. The room was just tired and showed wear. The pocket door (which I hate for bathrooms) did not close all the way which afforded absolutely no privacy. The vanity was tiny and my husband and I had to store our bathroom items under the sink. Even the shampoo samples were tiny and barely enough for both of us to shower. There was a very small area with a Keurig type coffee maker and an old undercounter (not built in) fridge that ran loudly. There was some kind of hum from something in the ceiling the whole time and you should know the train honks at an early hour passing by. Overall, I was super unimpressed and sick about how much we spent for what was an utterly forgettable stay. I checked the other hotel on a non-holiday weekend against Southbridge and it is considerably less for a gorgeous room downtown. Cute location but consider all...
