Lovely, clean library with lots of space. The staff are helpful and courteous.
I'm sad that there are so many woke books in the juvenile section. I don't want my 4 year old reading about somebody having two daddies, etc. That is their sinful adult choice, and not a topic that my innocent child should have to wonder about. This may be the new and acceptable way to the world, but it's a sinful lifestyle no matter how many colors of paint you want to paint it. Children's innocence should be protected! This is NOT ok.
Also, lots of books about magic, witches, and occult topics in the teen section. Thankfully there is a nice selection of Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys and a few other wholesome titles I noticed last time I visited.

Read moreI went to this adorable library today with the little boy I care for, for the first time. It was a story time class for 2-3 year olds. The girl who ran this class was PERFECT!! Her name was Jenny. She read loudly, slowly & was animated. She moved the book slowly for all to see. She gently reminded children to sit down when appropriate & added cute, participating tasks also. Music was played, dancing, working on colors & did read 3 books! She’s a keeper!! Schererville & Munster libraries should follow her lead…please!! She also provided an art project to go! Read moreI went to the st. John library explaining a problem I had with getting text messages. I told Wendy that I had talked to a person at libraryto talk to IT about it. I asked Wendy if I could contact them to get to problem. She said there was nothing they could do about it. I would have to get emails. I called the branch manager and she told me they are trying to upgrade there system. Alot of patrons are having problems with text messages. I wish Wendy would actually be more helpful by making a call to a branch manager like I did to help...
