I have mixed feelings on this one.
The food was good, and at a reasonable price. The service was adequate, though there was some confusion with them as well, in the form of a missing check, items brought to the table that we didn't order, etc.
With that said, here's the negative. This place seems to be a direct ripoff of Avgo next door. When we sat down and were handed menus, I commented that the physical design of the menu is just like Avgos. Same size, laminated, same column format, etc.
After we decided on what to order, I was curious about the prices, in comparison to Avgo. So I looked right here on Google maps at Avgo. Conveniently, there are pics of Avgos menu. I cross referenced a couple items from the two menus, and wouldn't you know it, exact same price. The items listed were pretty much identical too.
The omelet was comparable in size and quality to Avgo. The skillet I ordered was smaller than Avgo, but it did come with choice of either toast or pancakes (just like at Avgo).
The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly, though there are arguably too many tables for the available space.
The parking situation isn't ideal. There's not quite enough parking spaces for the restaurant, even as small as it is. We had to park next door in the car repair facility.
To sum it up, the food was good, but I just can't get past the fact that everything about it appears to have been blatantly copied from Avgo. It looks like they took everything Avgo, made some of the portions smaller but put a different sign out front and called it there own. For this alone, I...
Read moreUpdated Edit: 7/2/2025 They have gotten into a really unfortunate habit of charging upgrade prices without telling you when you order. It's a gross money grab. Obviously they nickel and dime you but at the very least tell us when we are ordering. NOT a great place for kids meals. Incomplete breakfasts some with no protein etc... they say up to 12 but really the plate sizes only feed up to a 4 year old. My 7 yr old is starving an hour after we eat. I don't know how quickly I'll be back as this last time there was a ton of short dark hair on our plates. I'm a hair dresser so it doesn't scare me but when I pointed it out they didn't care. When they brought out a to go box and cup they were also covered in hair. I finally brought it up to the lady ringing us up and asked if they wear hair nets and she said no. When I told her about all the hair she didn't even apologize. (We are all in the blonde family so I could pretty much eliminate us ) Something is definitely not clean back there. It will be a while before we go back. It's a shame because this was totally one of our favorites and they really do make some fantastic food.
This is a great place for breakfast. The food is mostly fantastic, coffee is great, and most of the service is pretty good. They are working with the space they have which is a great way to start but they have absolutely outgrown it already. That means you could be looking at a long wait on peak times/days. They are absolutely trying their hardest to utilize the space they have so don't hold it against them. The food is outstanding and well...
Read moreMy wife and I had high hopes for this place but it was a let down. I ordered the bacon waffle with over easy eggs and a side of hash browns. Waffle had no flavor and was overcooked and cold. Eggs had no flavor. Hash browns were cold until I got to the center and then they were horribly hot which told me they were microwaved. Wife got the chorizo quesadilla and she absolutely hated it. No flavor and also cold in spots. Service was horrible. Not even busy and the waitresses were bringing orders to wrong tables.....forgetting my wife's milk....not knowing who had what at the table. This place was bold to open right by Avgo and they won't last. Worst breakfast food I have ever had. Would have been better off with McDonald's breakfast. When my wife checked out they asked how it was and she said not good. They wanted to comp her and she refused. She told them you need to work on improving your food. Take a pass on this...
