Zig-E's Funland — Attraction in St. John

I've never been more embarrassed taking my kids on what was supposed to be an adventure on a weekend afternoon like I did coming here. We were all excited for a fun afternoon but it was a total utter disaster. The entire place felt ran down and cheap, with sticky bathroom floors and overpriced snacks you find at a gas station. But the real issue was the games. It's like the arcade is just there for decoration. Most of the games were broken and have “out of order” signs on them. Almost every machine was either broken or ate our tokens and paid out no tickets or only a handful. The mini golf has poorly laid down side walk very easy to trip on. Every golf hole has A LOT of ware and tare with rugged surfaces ripped open, you can’t hit straight most of the time even if you tried. Watching my kids disappointment and light fade from their face was upsetting. When I finally approached the counter to ask for help, the owners were incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful. The owners seemed very annoyed that I was even at the counter. They just sat there behind the counter did nothing to help and were clearly not interested in making sure kids are able to have a fun time at their poorly managed arcade. I’ve also notice this place LACKS diversity, which is a big concern for me especially since I felt like they were trying to intimidate me just for asking for some help with my children’s experience. Embarrassing… please don’t take your kids here and save your time and money. Crown point has some better arcades and Zao island is as cheap and blows this place out...

This is the 1st time I have ever been here & the 1st time my son has been here for mini golf. The course is very well kept & clean. The staff is super friendly, which is a definite plus! My son is 11 & was excited to be able to ride the go karts by himself this time around. The manager on duty, MacKenzie(sp?) was super friendly. She came inside the arcade area to try to fix a problem some employees were having & took my drink order right after. The slushee machine was down, so I ordered 2 pops instead(perfectly fine by me!) We talked about the service industry & how hard it is to be kind sometimes. I told her how much I appreciate how kind & happy everyone had been during our visit so far, and for our kindness & patience, she gave us a $25 credit towards the arcade! My son was ecstatic, especially because I had already told him I didn't have the extra money to play any games today! So thank you for making his day even better! We will definitely be back!...

Had a little birthday party for my daughter and 8 of her friends. The staff made it so easy! Shannon called me prior to the day to give me a run down and coordinate plans. Then Tim was our party guide for the day and he did a great job! Right in the beginning, we did a fun little basketball tournament and some of the guests won extra credits. Everything ran smoothly for the rest of the time spent in the party room. He even handled all of the drinks refills and serving of pizza. You cleaned up after us as the party went on and was attentive to anything we needed. A couple of us parents were able to eat a little bit more in the room and chat while our girls were able to go outside and mini golf/Go kart race. Once we needed to be out of the room we were able to use our arcade credits without having to be rushed. That worked out well because by the end of the afternoon the arcade gets a bit crowded.
