What a wonderful venue! We booked Grbic as our reception venue and it was honestly the best decision we could have made. From the beginning, Jessica was extremely helpful and there for any questions we had. The allure from the get-go was the style/vibe, the food, and supporting a local business in our community, but it turned out to be so much more than that and more affordable than other venues we looked at that didn't even check all of our boxes. About halfway to the wedding we experienced a snag in our plans and ended up using the restaurant space as our venue instead of the main event space - which coming soon the restaurant space is going to be an event space of its own! The space was beautiful and perfect for the old-world European charm we were looking for. They were accommodating the entire planning time and on the day of the wedding. During the reception, we ran a little behind on time and Lejla was completely on top of it; so much so that we barely even realized unless she came up to run something by us! Having the decor closet to help us with centerpieces and other decor was amazing - we just had to order candles and greenery and the rest we pulled from the closet and it was just what we wanted. The best thing about the night was being able to celebrate with our friends and family, but the second best thing was definitely the food. THE BEST WEDDING FOOD YOU WILL EAT IN YOUR LIFE! Everything about the night was absolutely perfect and none of it would have been possible without the amazing team at Grbic. I will forever recommend them to others as a venue to use for any sort of gathering they need as they can accommodate all...

Grbic is beautiful and you can tell when you walk in it's a very nice place to have a meal. Service was good and waiter was very attentive. 5 Stars for ambiance and service.

What about the food?! I went with my family so was able to try a good variety of what Grbic has to offer. Overall, there were some dishes I had that were great and some that were not so great which is disappointing for the price you pay for all of their entrées. I was able to try:

Cevapi - These come with a great dipping sauce

Chicken Rouladen - These were good, almost like a chicken cordon bleu. Crunchy outside, warm gooey inside. I would recommend

Jager Schnitzel (Veal) - This was ok. Mushroom sauce went well with it. Was not a fan of the spaetzel

Sarma - I really wanted to like this. The texture and flavor of the meat inside the cabbage was great and had good flavor. There was just something about the sauce that didn't gel with me.

Mixed Grbic plate - The star for me was the chicken shish Kabob. Perfectly cooked, moist, chicken. I would order this by itself if I could.

Desserts: Apple Strudel - Only had a bite, it was ok. Nothing special. Palacinke - Think nutella crepe filled with fresh whipped cream. This was good, I would get this again.

I wish I could give this place a 3.5. Some of the food I had was good, but the price you pay...

If I could give this place more stars I would!! We had our wedding here May 2025! Planned in 4 months!! Literally an absolute dream to work with!!! They never made me feel like I was asking too much or had too many requests or concerns! They were the best communicators and made anything possible!!! (I mean fries in a cone!? Sure!) the communication was top notch and the energy and attention to detail was unmatched! The service was on top of their game! I literally don’t have one bad thing or change I would have made… it was seamless!!! Despite the venue being an absolute incredible space with the patio covered and the indoor area, what really sold us was meeting and working with Shayla. I can’t tell you how much talking to her sold our decision on where we wanted have it. She literally made our dream her own mission! Any little thing I needed Shayla made it happen with ease and was always ready to accommodate. It was a dream day and there’s no where else I would even question going to if this is on your radar! I could go on about the food and the drinks and the service…truly you can’t go wrong!! LOVE them so much. They will make your...

TLDR: Fantastic Euro-dishes, amazing ambience, great traditional dining experience. Dinner at Grbic is a delightful experience. Located in South City, just east of Dutchtown, this area of St Louis features an amazing array of diversity in cuisine that is driven by refugees and immigrants making a new life for themselves and, in the process, makes St Louis an even more amazing place to live in and visit. Grbic features dishes from the Balkans and Central Europe. The name Grbic is eponymous with the family who created and continues to run the restaurant. Last night I started with the Cevapi. The combination of seasoned sausages, savory, pan-fried bread, and a dipping sauce made my taste buds happy. For the main course I tried the Valdostana - it was advertised as comfort food, so how could I resist? It was superb. This grilled beef, sauteed mushrooms, and cheese over hands made spaetzles, topped with a white wine mushroom sauce, then baked til piping hot? Yes, please! As much as I wanted dessert, after the feast I just ate I simply couldn't find find room in my stomach. (The leftover Valdostana made a great breakfast this morning.)
