I was BLOWN AWAY by my experience at Casa Tequila. I can't believe I've lived here nearly three years and never tried them out, but I'll be back soon!
I had been wandering Gravois from Christy all the way up to Taft, trying to find lunch on a Sunday--but nearly every restaurant was closed! I was happy to see Casa Tequila open, as I'd been wanting to try their food.
To begin with, their chips and salsa were the best I've ever had! Thin, crispy, salty, fresh chips and perfectly balanced salsa. I had to force myself to slow down, since I'd ordered a shrimp chimichanga, and I was very glad I saved room. The chimichanga was full of shrimp, cheese, peppers, and onions, on a very tasty tortilla. A separate plate came with beans, rice, lettuce, guac, and sour cream.
My server was incredibly efficient, going effortlessly from Spanish to English as he went table to table. Everything came out quickly and tasted fresh.
The restroom was clean and well-stocked, and another part of the restaurant was decorated in advance of a birthday party later that day. There's also an area set up for karaoke. The restaurant stayed steadily busy while I was there,...
Read moreFood was good. My wife and I split a Molcajete. It was full too the brim with all the fixins. We definitely enjoyed it. The only way it could've been better is if it had juice at the bottom. It was a pretty dry. Tasted great otherwise. We asked for extra tortillas and got 6 total. I would've liked maybe one or two more not a big deal though. I also had to grab a waiter to take our drink orders after we had sat there about ten minutes and hadn't even seen a waiter/waitress yet. There was a group of waitresses kind of hanging out and talking maybe 4 or 5. Not sure why it took so long. But the waiter that eventually made it over was great. Our son got a chicken quesadilla, which had lots of chicken, which is always great. Things happen. As far as the service goes. We definitely plan on eating there again. Next time, we will just ask for some extra juice in...
Read moreLiterally ZERO STARS!!! If I could rate zero I would but I have to rate at least one! We will not be back!! Went there for the first time on Wednesday 11/6/19... ordered 2 steak burrito suizos. I ordered mine with my beans, rice and lettuce on the side! The beans and rice came out on the side but there was hot lettuce rolled into my burrito (which is disgusting) however the beans and rice were STONE COLD!!! My wife had the other burrito ordered the same way as mine but her beans and rice and lettuce were all rolled into her burrito. She ordered it with her green sauce on the side and her burrito came out SMOTHERED in green sauce!! I'm not sure what was going on with the server or the kitchen staff but with such INATTENTION to details ESPECIALLY after informing the server it was our first time there completely left us feeling like we would...
