Dr Ed takes great care of my two mutts! We tried a few different vets when we moved to St Louis, but when we found Hillside, we knew we'd found the perfect fit. It's always easy to get an appointment, and they send me timely reminders for routine health maintenance. The best part is Dr Ed; he explains all of my options and helps me make educated choices without ever feeling pressured or guilty. I decided to write this review because the man is so honest! He checked out the dogs' teeth and told me there's no need to get them cleaned right now. He's like the trustworthy mechanic worth his weight in gold that everybody looks for, but for your pets. And a veterinarian.

Truly can't say enough good things about Hillside Animal Hospital. Each and every vet and staff member is professional, knowledgeable, patient and compassionate. When our Husky Aspen was diagnosed with cancer and needed a leg amputated, they walked us through every step and made us feel informed and at peace with such a scary decision. We are forever grateful to them. Unfortunately we are walking another cancer journey with our dog Harry and have been met with nothing but empathy and the best care. They truly love and care for our pets like their own. Couldn't imagine taking our beloved dogs anywhere else.

I love this vet! My cat has vet office trauma from a vet in another state who insisted he have sedation before returning. When we moved to Saint Louis I told Hillside the whole saga and they said, "let's try another approach." They allowed extra time for Kenny Kat to adjust to the office and even put out calming pheromones around the exam room. He stayed in his carrier until he got bored and his curiosity got the better of him. He came out, started exploring, and before we knew it he was on the exam table! I cannot say enough great things about the staff and vets at Hillside!

As a nervous first-time cat owner, my experience at Hillside Animal hospital was beyond exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the kindness and professionalism of the staff put me and my cat at ease. The clinic is immaculate, and the attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness is evident everywhere you look.

One of the standout features for me was the cat-specific room. This specialized space ensured my cat felt comfortable and less stressed. They had the calming pheromones. A climbing tower, grass and numerous treats. The clinic's Fear Free designation truly lives up to its name, creating a calm and welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.

Dr. Marziani and nurse Jasmina took the time to answer all of my questions, no matter how small, and made sure I fully understood every aspect of my cat's care and overall health status. Their patience and thorough explanations eased my anxiety significantly. Dr. Marziani also provided an excellent list of resources and helpful books as a new cat owner. The entire staff is amazing, demonstrating genuine care and compassion throughout our visit.

I can't recommend Hillside Anni mal hospital enough for any pet owner, especially those who may be feeling anxious or unsure or be totally brand new to pet ownership. They have made the transition into pet ownership a positive and reassuring experience for me. Thank you, Hillside staff, Dr. Marziani and Jasmina for your...

My dog has been a patient at Hillside for 6 months, since April 2021. We have gotten to work with Dr. Brittney, Dr. Aaron, and Dr. Anna. All have been kind, compassionate, skilled, and knowledgeable.

Before becoming a client, I emailed Hillside to inquire about what scented products they use in the building, as I have chemical allergies. Dr. Aaron was very caring and open to learning about the topic and how to help. They have implemented changes to reduce fragrance use and thus increase accessibility. This is extremely rare among veterinary practices and I am so thankful!

Dr. Brittney spent a long time with my dog at his new patient appointment to go over all the concerns I had and then even more time with me on the phone to answer all my questions. The various client services staff and technicians I have worked with (including Jessica and Meagan) have also been friendly and helpful.

My dog is older and has multiple health issues, so I frequently email the Hillside doctors to ask for information and advice on how to care for him. All of my many questions have been answered promptly, patiently, clearly, and with great attention to detail. So far my dog has received two procedures involving anesthesia, including abdominal surgery, and both have gone very well.

I am very glad to be a client here. Thank...

We got our pup at the end of Sept. knowing she needed to have updated vaccines the first week of Oct. Made an appointment in Oct. with Hillside and couldn't get in until Dec. Finally went in Dec. and mentioned that she had been having some skin issues we assumed were from food. They recommended switching which was fine. Fast forward to Feb. We went to check her vaccinations because we're going on a trip, only to find out that they never vaccinated for DHPP at our appointment in Dec. because of the skin issues. Mind you, they did vaccinate her for rabies and bortadella in Dec., so this was a complete oversight on their part. They never told us this information and never made a follow up appointment to have her vaccinated for DHPP. Called to sort it out and they placed the blame on us, saying our memory could be flawed. Also said they don't vaccinate when there are other medical issues, which means they need to get their story straight. They did vaccinate, but didn't complete the vaccinations we asked for. The entire reason for our first appointment was to have her up to date on vaccinations. Will not be going to...
