Nice theater with an amazingly large screen. It gives a really immersive experience to the educational video. We saw the dinosaurs on the Antarctica show and it was really interesting and informative. Kids and adults of all ages would enjoy it. The tickets are a little pricey but if you're spending the day at the science Center, you've already gotten a great experience for free. They do offer military discount but you have to ask, of course. The seats are comfortable and recline. The rows are also spaced out enough where you are not being blocked by any one.

We saw the most awesome movie about the human body and how sudden illness, accidents, love, dedication, new inventions, medical trials and other resources can save a life, rehabilitate a body's parts to enable an amputation of a person's leg can enable that person to ski, dance, mountain climbing and other activities. The exhibits and hands on activities are all age groups and families really have a great experience in science, crafts, history and learning

I watched the movie, "Blue Angels." It was excellent. The facility was clean and well maintained. Employees were friendly.

I'm sure I'm one of many people who grew up in St. Louis with the Omnimax. Back in the late 90's and early 2000's, it was an immersive and insane experience. With no reference to high definition, the screen seemed incredibly crisp and cutting edge. It truly was.

A lot of time has passed for this technology. The resolution on the projector for the Omnimax experience has stayed the same, and the theater has changed very little from when I was a young boy. Now, the screen shows its age. The pictures are grainy and don't do the aspect ratio or viewing experience justice. What was formerly an awe-inspiring experience is now something that is somewhat uncomfortable and outdated. The biggest investment the science center could make might very well be the technology surrounding this theater. People love the Omnimax, but it feels like it is time for a resolution upgrade. Of course, we're aware that this eventual transition isn't simple. The technology was invented during the 70's. The STL Science Center doesn't have the funds to push this technology into the 21st century, so we can only hope for a push by the remaining Omnimax theaters in America to band together to save this style of...

Jurassic World Dominion was built for a screen like this!! 1 of 7 of this screen type in the world! The Science Center doesn't share it enough how amazing it is to watch a movie here. I've watched older movies at events like First Friday events (a pop culture event looking through a scientific lens) like Aliens, Zombie Land, and Stranger Things. But newer movies take this screen capacity to a whole new level. It can be intense, but it's an immersive movie experience beyond a flat screen. In one Jurassic World Dominion scene the dinosaur is wrapped around you, claws each side, teeth at the top - that scene makes it worth the drive. And TIPs - if you start to get dizzy, look at the floor, the stillness settles the body, AND parking is free for...

Went and saw the new Jurassic Part movie. Absolutely wish I could have gotten down a week earlier for Too Gun. The screen is amazing! You do have to understand that watching a movie is gonna be different than watching an educational film they show that are made for that screen. During fast scenes it will get a little grainy and the close ups are CLOSE up, lol. If your looking for true OMNIMAX experience I do recommend seeing something the science center is showing rather than a movie. But you'll be impressed with either. The seats were really quite comfortable for the 2.5hr movie. The ticket prices are higher than a normal theater but this isn't a normal theater, they also offset that with the cheep drink and popcorn combos. All and all I...
