My family and I came here and were blown away. It's mind-boggling why this isn't a more well known St. Louis area attraction.

The place isn't huge per say, but it's two floors and larger than I was imagining. In those 2 floors they pack in what feels like hundreds of miniature scenes with painstaking details. You can have 3 people standing in front of one scene and each will notice details that others miss. The scenes are varied in size and scale too. In one you might have a medieval armor blacksmith and the next is a mid century birthday party.

In many ways, this is in the vein of the collection of collections type atrractions: House on the Rock, American Treasure Museum, Golden Pioneer Museum, etc. and much like those attractions, your brain can barely process all that you're seeing.

Apparently, they change this up seasonally, too. We will be back to see...

This museum was outstanding! Soooo much to see! Dollhouses of all types and scales. It kind of boggles the mind, and honestly, there was so much to see that my eyes were legitimately tired when we were done.

There is a small $7/person entry fee. They do have a $1 coupon on their website. We were only able to spend a little over an hour at the location. We could have been there at least 2 hours.

The museum includes a dollhouse store. (No entry fee to shop the store).

The only shortcomings: The museum would be hard for a person with limited mobility to explore. And I’m not sure they’d be able to access the second floor at all. Nearly all of the displays are lighted, but a few lights...

In my husband's words, "this place is surprisingly awesome." I found it through Atlas Obscura, and with my daughter's love of all things tiny (mini brands and LOL surprise), I thought she might like checking it out. She loved it so much she is now considering a new hobby (oops).

I highly recommend a visit if you are at all interested in miniatures, museums, and detailed crafting. The ladies working there are super sweet and friendly, finding the miniature chess table with pieces my daughter HAD to have. Long after the absurdly small chess pieces are gone for good, we'll still have some pretty amazing memories and will likely make a return trip. They do have a Groupon...
