Don’t use RF Home Co. Nicole, the owner chose a backsplash tile for us. She’s a designer, so we trusted her. You can see in the 1st photo that, while a white tile, it looked gray against our granite & clashed. We notified her that the tile just wasn't right & that we'd go shopping and find tile so that they could stay on schedule for Mon. We acknowledged we'd eat the tile costs and pay the change fee listed in the contract. They were also scheduled to paint our kitchen cabinets on Mon. She didn't call to discuss but emailed, said she liked the new tile we chose, and she'd assess schedule. Said Nick (tile guy) would tear out new tile Mon and could maybe re-engage Tues. She'd work a plan over the weekend and would call Mon. We encouraged her to stick w/ the original schedule. Mon, Nick removed the tile. He started putting outlet covers on. I told him that he didn't need to do that since he would be back the next day. He said "it's just standard procedure," even though he had left them open all weekend. Seemed strange. He started removing ALL materials from our house, even the ones he'd need to complete the project (also strange). He was told to take everything back to the shop and bring back what he needed. We called Nicole since she said she'd call and never had. She texted saying she was going into a meeting. We called about 3-4 hours later. Nothing. Then, we got an email at 5:17 Mon night saying they were canceling our contract and would refund our money, even though they had lost so much money on our project. We were shocked and confused. There had been no argument or even a discussion. In her email, she said she was upset we questioned Nick going to lunch. That was taken way out of context. We had mentioned him going to lunch because we were charged $1000 for demo, which included time and tearing out/installing new dry wall. Nick didn't have to tear out/install dry wall, and our existing tile came off very easily. He spent about 1-1.5 hrs removing tile & cleaning up & went to lunch, so he hadn't spent much time at our house. We simply asked if we could recoup some demo costs, even if it was just material costs that could be put towards the loss in materials/change fee. She took that as us complaining about him going to lunch. We've had a lot of contractors in our house in the last 6 months. Not only have we never complained about someone taking a lunch break, but we have offered they eat at our table and have offered food & drinks. She was also concerned we weren't going to pay her because I asked a question: if we noticed something that needed fixed after paying, would they fix it? I asked that because the email received said that we needed to do a full inspection of all work before we pay/they leave, and it's worded so sternly, that we thought they may not come back out after that. We had just paid other contractors $7K to do 2 other projects, and we had already paid her $4K, so there should've been no reason to question our integrity. I give them a 1-star for at least giving our $ back. However, she was very unprofessional. She never called after discovering an issue w/ the tile. She told Nick to lie to us knowing he wasn't coming back because she had already decided to cancel our contract. She canceled the contract via email. She complained about how she lost money on us. Note that we did not cancel anything. The only reason she lost money is because she walked out in the middle of a project. To make matters worse, she posted about us on her business Facebook page. Talking bad about customers on social media should be a red flag to anyone. If you consider doing business with them, follow their page for a few months, and look at how they discuss personal problems, their chaos, and see how they respond and talk to customers/potential clients. That alone should steer you clear of them. The last 2 photos are how they left our kitchen, just a few weeks before the holidays. If you want a professional company who is capable and willing to resolve issues or even a change, if necessary, this is not the company for you.

Do Not Use RF Home. We recently used them for a sizeable job and will never use them again. They were at our house about 5 weeks. It was clear to us, the attention to detail & preplanning were inadequate for this job. Over the last two decades we have done two complete kitchen reno’s, a laundry room reno and an extensive outdoor living space. Those contractors had no show room, no social media, and had 1-2 page contracts. The projects were well planned, went smooth and we loved how they turned out. We referred them to friends and family- our point is that it is the end product that matters to he client. We were reasonable, paid for changes that had to be made along the way.We repeatedly complimented their painters & provided a welcoming work environment. We were at work most of the time they were at our house. We have never had a problem before with a contractor. Nicole - our project manager - was the one who all communication went through- and she is the one that was addressing the many ‘miscommunications’. - she did not ONCE step foot on our property during install- despite the many problems and despite us asking her too. We were flabbergasted. This spoke volumes to us on how much RF valued our business. Why would she not want to see in person if only to educate herself for future clients? We found their paint color for us varied not a little but GREATLY from the sample paints bought. We discreetly brought this up to two of the painters- one was a Project Manager (?) and nothing was done to address the issue. Brandt never addressed the paint color. We waited until counters were installed hoping that would help tone it down. Then we went to Nicole. We had a color analysis done on a shelf they painted- a non biased test- this pops out the 5 closest color matches ~ NONE were White Dove. Nicole admitted the colors varied more than normal. She told us BM WD formula has changed- We don’t know about that- the two cans of samples we had all blended- We also feel like that’s between them and their supplier. The paint samples we used were correct formula. Prior to the job- I held that 4x8 sample up to our samples to anyone’s eyes in person it looked like our white dove but once we saw it on cabinets we knew the color was off. Nicole knew we wanted a warm creamy white and She knew ahead of time in an email we hoped the cabinet color closely matched our existing WD throughout our home. Nicole gave us zero indication it would not match. She only indicated AFTER they painted all the cabinets what she could have done to ensure a good match, (larger sample, door painted, color match) yet she NEVER offered. She also told us once we brought this to her attention that she had been concerned about the white dove- this was news to us..The paint portion of our job was $12G! We were never worried about the WD until it showed up on our cabinets. The 4x8 sample proved inadequate for us. She could have done one or all of these things to ensure a good color match, yet she did none of them. And then to not even come look at what exactly went wrong?? To say we are disappointed is an understatement. This color was chosen before deadline. I did change bar color last minute bc this was the color that we were worried about and that color turned out great. Nicole was supposed to be checking on options to repaint, but then, to our surprise, decided against it. In hindsight we have many regrets with this project, most of all trusting the process and trusting RF.

We had a kitchen and laundry room remodel. This included new cabinets, countertops and backsplash, as well as moving appliances around, removing some small walls, and putting in cabinets were there weren't any to start with. Nicole helped us find a designer to help make sure our look was timeless and cohesive. They worked with us where we did the demo and drywall work to save money. The precision and attention to detail is incredible. They started when they said they would start, and finished when they said they would be done, to the day. Nicole, Brandt, Savannah, Charlotte, Kati, Nick, as well as those we can't remember their names, were polite and professional. The pride they take in their work is obvious from the start. We are working with Nicole to come up with a design to replace our stairs and railing that scream 1990. I have attached some pictures, but the truly don't do justice to the colors and design.

I cannot say enough amazing things about working with Nicole and Brandt on my kitchen remodel! From our very first consultation, Nicole took the time to truly understand my vision and needs, presenting me with multiple beautifully designed options that made it so hard to choose—because they were all incredible! She helped point me in the right direction by carefully explaining how different materials, finishes, and layouts would not only look but also function over time. Her knowledge of durability and long-term wear was invaluable, ensuring that my kitchen wouldn’t just be stylish but also practical and built to last.
