Went to an open gallery night. Was disappointed to find next to no seating in the entire place. There was a band performing and folks standing watching the band, such that a person couldn't traverse the gallery or look at any of the art. I have severe sciatica and figured surely there'd be a place I could sit between checking out different exhibits. I wound up excusing myself through the crowd, then sitting on the steps below the door for the fire escape--which were dirty. I checked out some more of the art after resting, but the music was so incredibly loud I had no concentration. I went to leave and saw a fellow friend with back pain, sitting on what is apparently the only bench, and we chatted for a few.
