I recently attended the Summer Shredding Show at the Stafford Centre, and while I was excited to see the talented athletes showcase their skills, I left the venue feeling quite disappointed.
My biggest concern was the lack of basic amenities. For an all-day event, it’s simply unacceptable that there was no water or food available for attendees. Hydration and nourishment are essential, especially for an event that draws in an engaged crowd looking to enjoy the show. The absence of food and drinks made for an uncomfortable experience, leaving many of us scrambling to find alternative options outside the venue.
I believe that every event should prioritize the comfort of its audience. Having refreshments available not only enhances the experience but also encourages guests to stay longer and fully enjoy the event. It would’ve been a great opportunity for the Stafford Centre to partner with local vendors and provide attendees with tasty options.
Overall, while the show itself had potential with amazing athletes, the lack of basic amenities overshadowed the experience. I hope the Stafford Centre can take this feedback into account for future events to better serve its audience. Providing water and food is not just a luxury; it’s a necessity for any...
Read moreWent to the Stafford Center, or as they Misspell it.. Centre 🤣 , tonight for a reception. Have mixed reviews about the City owned Stafford Center which I suppose is the Convention Center. The sound system. Tonight the speaker Master of Ceremonies speech was difficult to hear or understand. I question the sound system.. behind the person presenting the speech on the stage were 2 regular loud speakers similar to an entertainment type system. I looked around on the ceiling above to see if there were speakers throughout. I saw None.. I said you got to be kidding me.. Don't tell me when they built this Convention Center they Did Not install speakers throughout the whole system in the ceilings.. like All other convention centers do, so you have good hearing of words and music. That's the most Poorly Cheap planning of cutting cost that I've seen from any city. You Cheap Penny pinching folks that run the city should be ashamed, you go there for entertainment and programs And you can't hear or understand anything because of the non-existing speakers that should be built in. Nice building but piss...
Read moreI went to my granddaughter’s dance recital at Stafford Center. Right next to the entrance to the recital, was a gun show. In fact, most of the people attending the recital had to mingle with the large majority of adult men gun enthusiasts and walk past the entrance to the gun show in order to get to the entrance to the dance show. It wasn’t obvious where the entrance to the recital was but it was easy to see the entrance to the gun show.
Once the recital started, the woman who was the leader of the dance club apologized to the audience about the gun show. She had not been informed by anyone from the Stafford Centre. It was something significant that first of all, shouldn’t have been scheduled at the exact same time as the dance recital but it also should have been communicated to the dance club who was presenting young dancers from second grade to twelfth grade, that they would be sharing the venue...
