I dunno. This place has a rock solid attitude on excellent customer service. The last five times I've gone through this place they have always been so awesome.
I went through the drive thru, it was around 9pm and I was 10 cars from the window. I placed my order and when I got to the window to pay, she handed me a soda. I asked her, "What is this? I didn't order any softdrinks with my order...I wanted a medium strawberry shake." She quickly apologizes and says, "Oh sorry, I didn't charge for that...let me get that for you."
She comes back with a large strawberry shake and I said, "Whoa, that's a large"
Her response was, "Yes sir...it's on the house, sorry for messing up your order." I told her it wasn't a problem and tried to pay for the shake...like three times asking her and she was insistent.
Though I didn't need that large shake (because they are so damned delicious and non-fat) it wasn't a big deal.
This was a few weeks ago. She was a little blonde bubbly thing, I think her name was Precious or Angel.
Bottom line, I was just talking to someone earlier that day about how it feels customer service is taking a backseat at many businesses these days; managers and staff employees double down with the tudes...then this happens.
Thanks Whataburger for telling me I was (gleefully) wrong, providing excellent customer service isn't completely dead.

Read moreI use to love this location but lately I feel like they are starting to drop the ball alot more than usual. Today was the third day in a row that I made a mobile order 15-20 minutes in advance through the app and they took forever and a day to get my food out. As a matter of fact I never even got my order 2 days ago because they couldn't figure out what happened to it. The very next day, same process, I placed a mobile order on the app 15-20 minutes in advance and when I arrived, guess what? My food wasn't ready, I waited an extra 10 minutes only to find that my food was stuffed under the counter..I had to wait longer for fresh fries because the order had been sitting under the counter so long that the fries turned soggy. So today, same process, app order 15-20 min in advance, get to the location and food isnt ready, had to wait an extra 10 min! When I pulled up to the drive through they had no idea what or where my order was..when the person at the drive through handed me my food she asked what kind of ketchup I would like, which i thought was strange because the receipt/ticket was literally taped on the bag with "SPICY KETCHUP" printed on it staring her right at her face, it wasn't even busy and they were making rookie mistakes...smh, I won't be returning untill this location this location upgrades to a...
Read moreSo one star for the place I have gone to since the late 90's and have defended and always spoke positive of Whataburger has brought this. This is the second time where I was literally forgotten about, first an app curbside order that I was acknowledged and 20 minutes later nothing even when I asked which resulted in a call to Whataburger main line to cancel order and request a refund. You would think that might do it but no it didn't. After several months of not going here I gave it another chance and went inside, but still three people ordered after me (there bags were not that large and I only ordered two taquitos) and got there orders and departed before me as well as at least one vehicle I saw drive through the drive through and depart before me. Look I get it I was upset, but in my profession (Quality) you see an issue and mind you I spoke with the manager of this store after the first order and was assured it wouldn't happen again you find the root cause and train folks to avoid someone spending twenty plus minutes for what is defined as fast food and prioritize orders based in when they are placed. At some point I will go back I'm sure, I hope they improve on this or maybe they just don't like me and if so just tell me I don't care as I am used to...
