Worst experience ever! The gamestop employee there that works there has no knowledge and respect at all. I was not offer help when i came in and they looked at me like they dont know how to greet. There an employee there who looks like that guy on the hangover, the one that has the big belly n got his hair shaved off like bald. Well that guy is a complete jerk. He did not offer any helpful information and accuse me of stealing. He was completely rude and was not helpful at all. Gamestop should fire him. Beware of his rudeness. Never ever going there again.
Had bought a new game from another gamestop in a different state. Thing is the new game was the last copy they had and they had the cover open. They went to look for the disc to put it back in the last "new" gamecase which is not seal but already open and consider new. So they sold it to me just like that new price but not seal like brand new plastic wrapps. Instead they just put a circle plastic tape like on to the gamecase of where u would open it. Anyways when i came back home from the trip, i wanted to see if i can exchange it for a "New SEALED, never open" game from this gamestop here. Their policy was clear and understandable. So i walked in to ask if i can exchange for a new SEALED copy, i had the receipt. Talked to the employee there and he rejected it and told me he couldnt do it. If he did then it would be considered trade in. He didnt believe that this copy i bought was new, just because it wasnt fully sealed with plastics wrapps around it. So i walked out not satisfied with my purchase from gamestop. I guess some employee dont know how to know read their policy or they being themself and forgot where they are. Never buy their so called, NEW copy unless it is in a sealed cover up plastic wrapps just like any other retails store has them in. I don't know why GameStop does this but they should at least put down 10 percent off on open NEW game cases. It is not New anymore from the moment they open it up. Every gamer, customer knows that, it doesnt feel satisfied knowing it is new but it was already open. Then they put back the disc in. You may never know what if one of the employee may had taken disc home to play it themself or what not. Or it may have been tampered with. They dont only do this to video games but also to last items of figurine collectibles. Enough said. GameStop is nice place to shop for games, depend on who is working at the time you come in to browse, it can be an inexperienced employee to someone who doesnt want to be bother with...
Read moreShady practices or improperly trained employees.. went to trade in an Xbox One x for a Xbox series x and the employee was very sloppy.. plugged in my Xbox to test it and insisted the controller didn't work.. told me I had to buy a used one for $35 to turn around and trade toward the console value .. if I didn't even would have to defect the whole trade and cancel it..I insisted on going home and grabbing another controller .. came back and it was a repeat issue . I noticed he only plugged in a micro usb.. which would turn on a controller but it won't work because it isn't the right power source..he asked his boss and he said to try using batteries and syncing it to the xbox.. go figure it completely worked..so are they doing purposely doing this to sell people a used controller? If you didn't know better you would be forced to buy a new controller.I also mentioned that I literally went home for nothing just now and they didn't say sorry. I had to ask for him to retest the 1st controller..he said the button was sticky so I have to take it as a refurbished. I mentioned you can just iso alcohol clean it and they didn't say anything.. tried to upsell me a monthly warranty for $10 a month for my Xbox.. insisted I was saving money buying it instead of just the standard warranty.. I asked how the much the standard two year warranty was ..it was only "$70"..how is spending $170 more over two years saving me me money ?They replace all items at GameStop under both warranties well . So why would I pay $170 more over the same course and time ?Also the manager was beside this employee during both transactions. Over all bad experience....
Read moreJesus Christ, this is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Gamestop. Some kid brought in a box of garbage to sell, and the guy at the counter painstakingly has taken over an hour to get through it and he’s still going (I left since it was pointless to stay any longer than an hour, literally until closing). He ignored all other customers who were actually going to buy things waiting forever for him to notice or have the customer ask to be helped so they could leave. I get that the kid brought in a box of garbage to go through, but he should’ve taken one look at that box and just told the kid he wasn’t gonna get anything for it. It was all old and trashed and gross. He could’ve also been way faster getting through those trades. I’ve worked at Gamestop before, it shouldn’t take you over an hour to get through a small handful of games and some wires if you know what you’re doing. I had stuff to trade too to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 and some controllers and games, everything in perfect condition and I bet this guy still would’ve taken forever to do it. The worst...
