Our waiter was pretty rude right off rip. I don't know if he had a bad table before us, but he was very rude while making sure we knew extra charges for add ons and substitutions. we can read, we knew all of this already and told him such, politely, the first time he said it but he continued to bark this information at us after EVERYTHING we said. We were nothing but polite so this all felt extremely unnecessary. His tone and demeanor were just very cold, rude, and rushed. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Monday evening but I've definitely been here with a way larger, busier, and louder crowd so again, I'm not sure if he had a bad table or he was just having a bad day? We did notice the table next to us and in front of us were also experiencing similar issues with this server. We got our apps no issues, however when our actual entrees came out, our steaks were cold. My ribeye wasn't even warm enough for the garlic butter topping to melt. The waiter did not apologize for this. Not that it's his fault directly, but as someone who has 12+ years of customer service experience, the way you respond to something like this is not "oh I'm not sure how that happened, all of the food is cooked to order so 🤷🏻♀️" uhh sir? Are you serious? Didn't offer to get a manager, didn't offer to rectify the situation, nothing. He just walked away. A manager did end up coming over to our table some time later and comped both mine and my husband's dishes, and also brought a new ribeye to the table that was obviously way fresher than what I was served the first time. The manager was extremely apologetic and helpful. But even after all of this, when the server brought the bill he was still extremely rude and cold and still did not offer a single explanation or apology, as if apologizing was beneath him. Mind you, my husband and I were never rude, did not act like Karens, and didn't get an attitude with this man, so I'm still not sure what the problem was. This was more than likely a kitchen staff issue, but his attitude earned him a 5% tip vs the standard 25% we normally leave. I get times are rough and people suck, but we didn't deserve to be treated that way and if you can't have a tiny bit of empathy as a server, maybe consider a different job. This interaction really made me never want to go back to...
Read moreThe Ceaser Salad was really well done, very delicious. The Blooming Shrimp was also fantastic as it is one of our go-to's. The Crock-tail was refreshing and a great addition to the night. All the rest of the food however was rather subpar, especially for the price. The sirloin was very tough and chewy, it felt like it was lacking the seasoning that you now have to pay extra for, and the baked potato sucked all the moisture out of your mouth, no amount of butter or sour cream could fix that unfortunately. Otherwise, quite a nice night out. Far better than a previous Outback visit to a different location. *Update: Returned with my father for a birthday dinner and we were both pleased with our meals and the drinks were quite good as well. He ordered the Toowoomba Salmon and found his Salmon & Shrimp to be flavorful and moist. The vegetables were fresh and cooked to satisfaction. The dish paired very well with the rice, there were no complaints from him judging by a cleaned plate. I ordered the Chimichurri Filet and found that it was just okay to be honest. The filet had good flavor and some tenderness but the cuts of meat weren't as great of quality as I would've liked. However, I still finished the filet regardless but I cant say the same for the Bloomin' carrot strings, it felt as though the oil became too much after eating a fair amount. We also had the Bloomin' Fried Shrimp, which was still fantastic. The Koala Punch was simple but good and the Boomarita was honestly an interesting idea for a drink flight. They all were delicious but the best one of them was the Blackberry Margarita and would go so far to only order that of the 4 if I had to choose a larger proportion drink. A satisfactory visit and there will be another visit in the future that I...
Read moreI don't know how this chain accomplishes what they accomplish, but they ought to bottle it and sell it. What's in the bottle? A recipe for consistency.
I've gone to Outback Steakhouses around my metropolitan area and in other states on and off for decades now and it's always the same. The people are unfailingly pleasant, the service is solid, the food is solid and the prices are reasonable given the competition and the economy.
I have never had a steak arrive at the table that wasn't cooked to the temperature I ordered. How can that be? It's never happened in probably 50 visits spanning close to three decades in four or five different states. Everybody makes a mistake once in a while, or so you'd think. It hasn't happened yet.
We were at our local Outback for my birthday. Hadn't been for a couple of years. It was terrific. The food was really good, The kitchen is liberal with seasoning; it's not a mistake - it's always been that way,
The restaurant is in good repair even though it's been around a long time. Nothing looked worn or showed any signs of wear and tear; it was spotless. For some reason the men's room was about 20 degrees colder than the rest of the place. Couldn't figure that out.
The service couldn't have been better, from the greeters to the food-runners to the wait staff. A special shout-out to Loomis, our server. Smart, hip, civil and completely on top of his game. He made a really good dining experience into one that we will remember for a while. Everyone should be that nice and...
