Updated so this Red Lobster did me wrong again. I DONT KNOW WHY THEY EVEN BOTHER W LOYALTY REWARDS. BECAUSE 3 OUT OF 3 TIMES NOW EVERY TIME I USE A LOYALTY REWARD FOR SAY A EARNED APPETIZER OR DESERT THEY DO THE SAME NONSENSE WHERE THEY MAKE YOU WAIT AND THEY DELAY SERVICE SO THAT BY THE TIME YOU GET YOUR FOOD ITS ALREADY ON THE WRONG SIDE OF NO LONGER EVEN BEING HOT. MAKES NO SENSE MY ORDER WAS TO BE READY AT 2:15 PM I GOT THERE AT 210 PM INSTEAD OF GIVING ME MY ORDER AROUND 215 THEY DELAY AND IGNORE ME SO I HAVE TO GO INSIDE AT 230 PM OF COURSE MY FOOD WAS READY BUT HAD I WAITED IT WOULD HAD NOT BEEN TILL 235 PM THEY WOULD BOTHER TO SEND IT OUT TO THE CURBSIDE PICK UP.
EVERY TIME LIKE SOME CHARMED VOODOO THEY WILL JUST REFUSE SERVICE OR DELAY IT SO AS TO ENSURE YOUR FOOD IS LOUSY.
Most unpleasant experience: This time this Red Lobster location really likely purposefully botched up my order and experience. Where to begin from them refusing to bring my food to the designated curb pick up to them forcing me to go inside after waiting over 10 minutes from the text saying my food is ready and coming out. Inside it didnt get any better, my order was no where to be found and the take out person was aloof and didnt get the problem. Even worse is discovering they pretty much put old discarded cold pieces of crab to make my order. It was disgusting and not eatable.
I have restaurant exp and am familiar with how crab is suppose to be and what was in my take out was beyond not acceptable.
Sad that in the owners response they showed no concern for me? It took days and they are expecting me to have a disgusting fake book anti social media account? No apologies. Also of note Red Lobster totally ignored my email that had details. Instead they are concerned only because they got a bad evaluation. No concern that they ruined my day, my meal, and screwed over my loyalty reward.
Hook and Reel a conpetitor is just a block north of these unconcerned operators whose employees likely broke laws with what they did to my purchased food. The more sad part is the place wasnt busy 6pm. Since you are expecting me to do your job. I would had apologized and made it right.
I would had fired the young black female employee that gave me what amounted to left over garbage in take out containers. I likely would had also fired the white male with long hair aloof take out rep. I would give a raise to the young host younger white guy. I likely would retrain maybe replace the general manager or regional manager.
I would also stop paying META and expecting customers to have such anti social old people...
Read moreI've been coming to the Red Lobster on Lakeside Circle in Sterling Heights, MI for as long as I can remember. It holds a special place in my heart — my mother and grandmother loved this location, and it was our go-to spot for birthdays and family celebrations. Walking in today, I was amazed that the atmosphere still feels just as warm and familiar as it did back then.
We were a party of two adults and two children. The hostess was welcoming, and the waitress met expectations — no complaints. I ordered my usual: the traditional Ultimate Feast. It’s been my go-to for over a decade, and it’s still amazing. Prices have certainly gone up over the years, but the quality has stayed solid. My wife and our seven-year-old both had the shrimp and lobster linguine — they enjoyed it. Our two-year-old had the mac and cheese, which honestly looked like Kraft — nothing special. The cheddar bay biscuits, as always, were fantastic.
One disappointment — and this is aimed at corporate, not this location — is that salads are no longer included with entrées. It feels a bit like nickel-and-diming and takes away from the full dining experience I remember.
But the true standout was the manager, Rachael. As we were leaving, our toddler needed the restroom, so my wife took her while I stayed with our older daughter to admire the lobsters in the tank. That’s when Rachael came over and completely wowed us. She said that once my younger daughter came out, she’d take a lobster out of the tank so the kids could pet it. I’ve been coming here for decades and have never experienced anything like that.
Not only did she follow through, but she also gave the kids a fun and educational talk about lobsters, sustainability, and marine life. Her words stuck with me: “We want Red Lobster to be a place where family memories are made — so your children will want to bring their children here someday.” That hit home.
Rachael was the embodiment of customer centricity. Her attention to the kids — not just the paying adults — made a lasting impression. Corporate, if you're reading this: you have a gem of a manager in Rachael. Treat her well. I’ll be back to this location again because of the experience she created for my...

After contact, they wanted to make things "right again" and offered my a gift card so I can have a better experience. That's a generous offer and I will happily go to another Red Lobster restaurant, soon. While my special day can't be fixed, at least PR management was willing to offer me a second try. For that reason, I have changed my 1 Star rating to 4. It's great to have businesses that are willing to make things right. Thank you.
I came to Red Lobster to celebrate 2 birthdays. Were seated in the bar area where the booths are so small for 4 people. Very uncomfortable to sit and eat. Service was nothing to write home about. The waiter knew the reason why we stopped in for dinner, but not even a mention of our birthdays. No greetings or wishes. Just business as usual. He was just average and lacked that "hospitality" aspect of a server. I ordered the lobster tail and sirloin dinner with 2 sides. (Should've ordered my usual crab legs). The cheddar bay biscuits were awesome. Steak was prepared as ordered. Potatoes were good, but I NEVER received my second side (broccoli). The lobster looked good from the start, but it didn't taste very good. OVERCOOKED. Rubbery/chewy (stringy) and very little flavor. Tasted like a very overcooked shrimp. For the price paid, it wasn't very good at all. To be fair, I am not an expert on lobster and this is the first time I've ordered lobster from Red Lobster, but it should've been better than what I received. I was very disappointed with the most expensive part of my meal. I would never order it again. We were never offered any special "birthday" drink or dessert (as most restaurants will do). As for the steak, potato and biscuits, I would give it a 4.5 Star rating. Lobster 2 Star at best. Zero Star for not getting my broccoli that I ordered. So, if looking for a great place to spend a special day (birthday, anniversary, etc.), I would say skip this place and celebrate it at a better restaurant that makes you feel special on your...
