WARNING â ď¸ UNBELIEVABLY TERRIBLE !!!! LONG READ BUT PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU GO !!! Part 1of 2
Let me start by saying, I very rearly write reviews online I mean who has the time but after my experience today, I had to make time! Margarita was the stylist that dealt with my daughter and she was absolutely terrible ! This lady claimed she spoke no English when asked repeatedly âwhat she was doingâ I called the salon earlier this morning asking how much they charged for a Roller set blowout. I was told $45 and up depending on the length, my daughterâs hair is very thick and rest slightly on the shoulder so I wasnât expecting to pay an arm and a leg. When I arrived there was about 2 to 3 customers already being serviced, I was very pleased at how empty the place was foolishly thinking Iâd be in and out, not for a minute did I think no customers would mean HORRIBLE SERVICE!
There was a friendly elderly lady that greeted me she was sitting underneath the dryer herself I thought for a second that she was a customer until she asked âhow can I help youâ I told her that I had called on the phone about the Roller set and blowout. She called out to âMARGARITAâ who was busy finishing up a client. She stated to me sheâll be right with you when sheâs finish. I saw her finish up the lady in her chair I didnât see anything off about the way she styled that womanâs hair it was simple and I was just excited for my daughter to have her turn. My daughter is turning 16 Monday and other than me boxbraiding her hair she has never been to a salon so it was nice for her to get the experience, did I mention her birthday was Monday ! While we waited âMargaritaâ finished with her client and snuck off to the back not having said a word to us. The Elderly lady called out to her and they spoke in their language she then turned to me and said âSheâs having her lunch You know she hungry, she be with you soonâ I said âohhh okay itâs fine weâll wait itâs just Sunday itâs not like we have anything at all to do on Monday đ. We waited for about 15 minutes then decided well since itâs lunch time weâll go next door and have a bite to eat, I told the elderly Lady (I believe her name was Ms Rosa) that weâre going next door to grab something to eat and weâll be right back (COURTESY ITS A HELL OF A THING) that took all about 15 minutes it was fast food. When we returned there was another client sitting in her chair, I didnât trip because I thought we probably took long. Ms Rosa (the elderly lady) called out to âMargaritaâ again then told my daughter to go over to have her hair washed. I need to mention that my daughter took her braids out two days before and even tho I told her to wash her hair before going she did not (THESE KIDS TODAY DO NOT LISTEN smh) Ms Rosa said to me that my daughters hair was tangled because of her braids and told me that it needed to be combed out while handing me the comb đł. I took the comb because I guess I felt guilty that my daughters hair wasnt comb out properly prior to coming even though she said she did. I passed the shampoo station when I went to use the restroom and saw what looked like a deep clean wash on my daughters hair so I was okay in that moment. Fast forward to my daughter sitting in âMARGARITAâsâ chair, I see her sectioning off her hair and putting soft rods in it I honestly didnât think anything of it after all everyone has their own way of doing things. I decided to go to the car to make a quick call it lasted about 3-4 minutes when I returned expecting to see big back in time rollers in my daughters hair I saw âMARGARITAâ blow drying her hair. I immediately said to her âHey whatâs happening is she not going under the dryer where are the rollers ? I asked for a roller set & blowoutâ she said âI sorry no speak Englishâ I said âOh okay well who do I speak to that does speak English Ms Rosa spoke out and said âOhhhh I sorry I forget ohh I soo sorryâ âMargaritaâ the lady that âdidnt speak Englishâ replied âNo this is way is better. Iâm guessing that English is selective đ At this point Iâm...
Read moreI have been a frequent customer at this salon for almost 2 years. When I first start going the price was 40 and then over time it changed to 45 because they charge different people different prices. I never complain because the work is still worth the price plus a tip. On my last visit I showed up to the salon at 4:50 (the salon closes at 6) and the older lady in the front asked if I would pay an extra $10 to get my hair blow-dried instead to rollers to save time. I agreed to pay the extra money, however, a new stylist did my hair and it did not look as good as when Alaeda, Virginia, or the lady with the little boy. Not only did she still put me under the dryer but she charged me extra! I told the lady at the front that I did not get a blow dry and she said I still had to pay extra. I am so over these people I will never return to this...
Read moreI recently visited this salon and my experience was not good. The only reasons I am giving this salon 3 stars is because of the blow out and prices but do not come to this salon for any color!! The salon should also have strict rules on leaving kids unattended. One woman's child was running around and bumping into me smh.
Anyways- I showed both the stylist and hair washer the type of highlights I want by picture and BOTH women agreed that it could be done and gave me a quote . While bleaching my hair, I reminded the stylist of the color I wanted because I could tell that the color she was giving me isn't the color I asked for! But she continued to reinsure me that everything was okay...not! The highlights looks as if an amateur played in my hair and the color is way off. I'll never return. I will be...
