This park is a very nice step up for the typical playground. There are many activities for children, which include a size specific merry-go-rounds (one of each for toddlers, young adolescents, and older adolescents). The main attraction is the two story bridge that connects the multiple climbing sections. There is a return-zipline (jump from a platform, and sail down the line just to be bounced back to the start) that typically has a line due to the excessive amount of patrons at the park. They also have a full 'ninja warrior' course scaled down for children. The parking lot is not very big, but there is overflow parking a bit farther down the road. The police department is on the property, so the safety concern is fairly low. The greatest personal issue is the local ice cream truck route. It's understandable that public areas are subject to these types of solicitation, but for children, the hype that 'everyone else gets some' may cause some distress, so fair warning to those who have those types of difficulties with their youngins. Annoyingly enough, the 2 hours that we spent at the park, the truck left its tunes on repeat for nearly the entire time. Overall, I encourage all my friends, family, and those in my neighborhood to take the drive to Stow and check it out. It's likely your little ones will nap on the way back, so pack a light lunch for breaktime...
Read moreOur kids love this park. But I like to write my reviews to reflect the accessibility of a place since our daughter is in a wheel chair. This park is mostly accessible. It does have a sidewalk that goes around the entirety of the park and a good number of handicap parking places. Half of the park is mulch and the other half is that rubberized playground floor. There is a merry-go-round that is flesh with the ground and easily accessible to rolling friends. The accessible swing is located in the mulch area, which makes it a bit difficult to get to, but is possible with the sidewalk nearby. The bathrooms are large enough to set up a cot for changing if needed. Also there’s plenty of space to picnic! All of my kids, both typically and atypically developing...
Read moreKids love it! Nice, clean, mostly fenced in with lots to do. Cool zipline for kids of all ages. Lights came on after dark, which was a nice unexpected bonus. And it's right next to the fire station, so you know if theres an emergency, they are there in 2 seconds. Only "meuh" moments were a few teenagers loitering around being typical teenagers, but that's with any park you go to. I've never felt unsafe here, and the kids never want to leave. Reminds me how it was back in my day when it used to be what we called "the castle park." No more 3 inch splinters anymore, though, so that's also...
