Collector's Palace Coin & Jewelry LLC — Attraction in Streetsboro

Well I was greeted by a great family initially, when I brought my coins in, I opened my case I had and this older man just rummage through my coins like a homeless guy looking for a golden ticket to willy wonkas chocolate factory. I brought valuable coins and bills in with errors and all this guy wanted was silver. Thats all he is looking for is silver but could care less of my other coins I had, I felt disrespected, rolled his eyes, would not make eye contact with me when I was talking to him about the strikes and double stamps, like I was wasting his time. He said he needs valuable coins because hes leaving or retiring in three days. I asked him are his daughter and her daughter and the baby and dogs retiring in 3 days as well. I felt insulted by his remarks. I brought my coins in a case and had them arranged and he messed all of them up and scrambled all the ones I filed ,then when I did have silver ones, he said this isn’t enough for me. And I expressed many times that Im not looking for the value of silver but the value of the coins, so its his loss, I know I have coins worth a good amount and its unfortunate how GREEDY he acted when disrespecting my coin collection and getting flustered when he couldn’t find the silver. Sorry Bud, I dont have my silver sitting on top so it can be taken immediately. I had one coin worth $600 and minted 1970 S with errors and strike damage. Go bud, go join the millions of people looking for the big boom in metals and the high strike in crypto. Have been collecting my whole life of these coins, first time to a coin store and this is my impression. Have you found black beards...

Edit 3 years after initial review... I will not shop here again. Over the last couple of years I have avoided the owner and only dealt with the other staff. His dismissive and patronizing attitude towards customer interests and questions takes all the joy out of collecting for me. Out of the hundred or so interactions with him over the last 3 or 4 years, I can count the pleasant interactions with him on one hand.

I know the business of buying and selling collectibles is not easy. Out of all of the grumpy old men in the business, the collector's palace used to be a nice escape from that norm. Not anymore. I hope my experience is unique and is not shared by anyone else

I spoke with Jake on the phone and I'm extremely impressed with his customer service skills and also he is very knowledgeable and professional. This company is very lucky to have him as an employee. I'm so serious. He is the type of person any business would benefit from by his exceptional work ethic. Great job !!! You deserve a raise !!
