Eldridge Park is truly a gem for those who live in the neighborhood. Magnificent and well groomed fields for soccer (both ad-hoc and organized), walking and running trails, and smartly designed connected ponds and fountains. Truly a wonderful place!
My only knock (and perhaps I haven't inspected well enough) is that I see little provision for baseball or softball. It's as if soccer and walking/running enthusiasts were the only park users considered.
If that one concern was set aside, I might have given Eldridge Park 5 stars, but the room provided for soccer far exceeds that for any other sport. I've witnessed first-hand how densely packed that park can get if all of those soccer fields are in use.

If Pokemon is your thing, there are over 10 PokeStops here, spread out amongst the fields, with the minority behind on the actual trails.
Not a terrible place to relax, but you can do better than...
Read moreGreat place for kids to play and families and friends to have a party. There is a big slide and swing set for kids above 4 years to play. Younger kids need adult supervision because the play area is very high and there is risk of younger kids falling down. The park has a pavilion available to reserve in advance for larger gathering. Otherwise, it is open for public to use. They have restrooms that are decently maintained. The soccer field is very big with multiple goal posts. Parking is big and spacious enough. Lake in the park is beautiful and peaceful. It has ducks and other birds for kids to see and enjoy. A very good...
