Sugar Land Donut Shop — Restaurant in Texas

"Shipley & Dunkin' & Krispy Who?" I used to love Shipley's Donuts - but neither locations in SugarLand ever had the fresh, plump donuts like the Shipley's near TMC. (Staff wasn't nice, either.)

I never knew about SUGARLAND DONUTS until I moved to Katy! I have been missing out - and they've been missing out on my business. I found them about a month ago and I no longer get the Shipley's near my work. My boxes of mixed donuts are always very fresh, plump and tasty. One or two days later, the glazed donuts don't have that crusty sugary film, either! Dad has started to enjoy his after breakfast omelette dessert, after lunch dessert, and two after dinners dessert. He's not diabetic; he is slightly underweight, but we're keeping an eye on things as this new addiction grows! This place is a gem. Far, far better kolaches than anywhere else nearby (side-eying you, Shipley). A potato kolache and apple fritter is my Friday morning go-to. Staff is exceptionally kind. One time I went in and bought donuts for my office and 30 min later a coworker (who hadn't been to the office yet) also stopped in and tried to get a box. The staff (owners?) told her that someone from our company had already picked some up, so she didn't need to grab anymore. My 86 year old dad has come here for years! Recently he was hospitalized for several weeks and when I took him there this week for the first time since being released, the staff treated him as a long lost friend making his "peanut donuts" specially for him. They treated him (and me) thusly the other two visits made this week. The food is good and the service individualized! These people are truly the epitome of a neighborhood favorite and I gladly and sincerely recommend making this a regular...
