As a customer at HomeGoods, I recently had an unfortunate experience with the manager on duty (08/07/2023) AM. The lady I spoke to was an African American lady wearing glasses. During my visit, I was accused of being a reseller, which was not only offensive but also unfounded. Additionally, I noticed that this manager was on her phone while on duty, which showed a lack of professionalism and attentiveness to customer needs. I was disappointed by her behavior, as it created a negative atmosphere in the store and left me feeling uncomfortable. I believe that as a manager, it is crucial to treat all customers with respect and provide excellent customer service. This experience has made me reconsider shopping at this specific HomeGoods in the future, as I expect better service and treatment from a reputable store like theirs. Lastly, I encountered a disappointing interaction with one of the cashiers. She was mid age with blonde hair. When I approached her with a small question, she responded rudely and seemed annoyed by my inquiry. Moreover, I overheard her speaking poorly of other customers behind their back, attributing it to the shortage of staff. While I understand that they might be facing challenges, it is essential for employees to maintain a professional attitude and treat customers with respect and courtesy. Despite the shortage of staff, all the customers, including myself, were being patient and understanding. It's disheartening to experience such behavior, as it reflects poorly on the store's overall customer service. I hope that HomeGoods addresses these issues and ensures a more positive and respectful environment for all customers in the future. Worst HomeGoods...
Read moreThis home goods was super stocked up today and super busy. I’ve been on the search for cute dipping dishes for sauces and I finally found a set of for small bowls that I loved. When I turned them around I found that one was broken. Didn’t seem like too much of a big deal bc there was a lot of chipped glass wear. I searched for another set and couldn’t find it. Also not a problem. I went to the cashier and stood in line. Cashiers were quick so I only waited maybe 7 minutes. None the less when it was my turn I informed the cashier of my issue and asked for a small discount. It was a set of 4 for $10. I would have been grateful if it was only $2 but the cashier said I have to buy it as it. I asked her why if it’s the last one and it’s broken. I have no purpose for it. She asked me what I wanted her to do even though I already asked her in the beginning for a discount. She said just take it home and toss later. I politely said no I’d rather leave the one and take the three and said it would still be the $10. I don’t feel the need to argue over a $10 item so I said fine and kept it moving. Then she very rudely pushed all my stuff to the side for the next customer and signaled her to come up and I haven’t even grabbed all my bags yet. I felt rushed and like a bother to the associate. Is there a rule that I have to buy things as is for full price even though it’s CLEARLY broken?? It would be different if she refused to sell to me but she let me buy it with no discount and only...
Read moreUpdate: 10/5/21 The quality of customer service has truly changed around here. I kept asking for help regarding a product and I get ignored. There’s one rude male employee with dreads muttered under his voice calling me “stupid and retard”. Is this how you treat your customers?
The worst part was waiting in line with people not knowing what “social distancing 6 feet apart” was… although MASK WERE REQUIRED. Most of the customer didn’t wore them. There were a handful of health workers. Yes, you heard me, health workers that didn’t wear a mask at all. A customer (nurse) behind me kept chatting with her other friend how she’s positive for covid but yet doesn’t want to wear mask. At this point I probably caught covid from one of the nurses not wearing a mask.
The line was stretch all the way to the kitchen and appliances section with only 3 cashiers in the front. When I saw so many employees chatting and texting with their other co-workers on the floor doing absolutely nothing! I’m surprised home goods hires employees that does nothing.
5/2/2018 Everything is just so organized in each department! I come here for decoration for my home and also for organization products. The employees are awesome when you ask them for their help. At checkout, employees are very very...
