I visited The Port of Peri Peri with my friends around 6:00 PM for dinner, and we had an amazing experience from start to finish. The host and server were both friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome right away. The menu was simple and easy to understand, with a few seasonal items that caught our attention. We ordered the original platter, which included grilled chicken, fries, and rice a great deal for about $60 for plenty of food. Our meal arrived in about 20 minutes, and everything was delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and coated with flavorful Cajun seasoning. The Peri fries were crisp and full of spice, pairing perfectly with the extra garlic white hummus sauce, which added a rich, creamy flavor. For dessert, we enjoyed the caramel cheesecake topped with pecans and salted caramel, which was the perfect sweet and cheesy finish for our meal The restaurant’s cleanliness and wall decor with creative visuals created a warm, welcoming atmosphere and environment for all. Overall, my friends and I really enjoyed our dinner experience at The Port of Peri Peri, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious, family friendly dining experience that is affordable.

The hubby wanted to try this place out after going to First Colony mall. It's close by and was looking for a place for dinner. This is a counter service restaurant.. you order and they give you a number so they can bring the food to you. Utensils, plates, and condiments are self serve. We had the 1/4 chicken (dark) medium spicy, 3 chicken wings medium spicy, port house salad, peri cassava fries, and perimayo corn. The 1/4 chicken was pretty tangy (I like tangy food but it's more of a Buffalo sauce tangy, which is a bit too much for me) you would like it if you're a fan of Buffalo sauce. The medium spicy has a good kick to it.. but not too spicey, wing flavor was good.. but the wing was a little dry. The peri cassava fries and perimayo corn were good. I like those two sides.. the port house salad (romaine, corn, red onions, tomatoes and olives) is a basic salad with a package of dressing on the side (choice of italian and french dressing). The salad wasn't really cold. I thought it was nice trying it out and would recommend if you want to try it to go check it out. It's reasonable pricing to any other restaurant for dinner but I wouldn't personally come back.

To be very honest, the place was packed, however, management behind the counter had no idea how to handle such a huge crowd. There were only 2 employees on the floor that were cleaning tables which made wait time longer than it needed to be. Management was incredibly poor over all, I hope they get better. We ordered the rice bowls with tenders (4/10), sizzler burger (6/10), and wings (1/10). Food lacked the Portuguese flavor and tasted almost like Desi food. Rice almost tasted like pulao. Sizzler was decent but the portion was super small. The wings were almost the size of your finger, not sure where they even found such tiny wings. Even though we ordered the large fries, they seemed as we ordered medium fries. Prices definitely did not match the portion size over all. My friend went to the counter about 3 times to ask when we can order and check why our food almost took 45 minutes to come out and got a rude response from the manager that he came way too many times already to the front already. As a majority decision, we prefer The Peri Peri factory on Westheimer.

I placed an order through Uber Eats for a gluten-free wrap when it arrived. It did not look right as both my husband and I are allergic to gluten and have celiac. I called twice to confirm that they had gotten my order right and that it was gluten-free. I spoke to a woman first who told me I could not speak to the manager because he was busy with prayers, but she confirmed that the order was gluten-free after I hung up I looked at it again. It just did not sit right with me. It didn’t look right. I called back and this time I was able to talk to the manager, a man. When I told him that I was calling to confirm that my order was gluten-free that it was prepared properly so that we didn’t get sick. He immediately flew off the handle yelling at me that they don’t have anything gluten-free when I proceeded to try and tell him that Uber Eats has a gluten-free option on there for his restaurant. He got even more angry, almost as if he was taking it personal when I asked him was he even aware of this, and that he needed to contact Uber Eats and fix this because meanwhile, my husband had already started eating and ended up going to the hospital. He instead screams at me and I can hear customers and staff in the background so this is in front of everybody that they don’t have gluten-free and I need to call Uber eats and it’s not his responsibility!!!! I am leaving this review because this is actually the second time something very similar has happened except it wasn’t a safety issue and we didn’t end up in the hospital however, DoorDash and Uber eats have two different menus when I tried to tell him the manager that there was a discrepancy between the two apps he also yelled at me. He is very difficult to communicate with horrible manager and does not care about his business or he would’ve taken this seriously. NO GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS HERE, MENU IS INCORRECT! No more from this restaurant for me anybody that can’t even speak to customers properly does not...

Peri Peri was fantastic! Me and a couple of friends went on a Monday night which enabled us to escape the busy crowd that the restaurant would usually have. Upon looking at the menu we had no idea what to order, rather than rushing us the staff was incredibly patient and gave us recommendations on what to order. We got a crispy pita wrap which was zesty, sweet, and crunchy concoction that balanced perfectly with each ingredient. Although it tasted great, the dish was too small and you would need two orders to be satiated. We also ordered "The Sizzler" which is a sandwich consisting of chicken, onion, and various sauces seasoned with lemon and herbs. The chicken was soft and the sauces made all the ingredients blend together perfectly. Similar to the crispy pita wrap the dish was too small unlike the pita wrap the dish was messy to eat. Additionally we ordered a Mango milkshake however the vanilla flavor overpowered the mango puree. furthermore, we got the 6 count wings that were dripping in peri sauce with a side of peri fries. The wings were steaming and tangy with a hint of spice. The fires however were on the blander side. The last dish we got was the chicken and rice bowl seasoned with Cajun and lemon pepper seasoning, unfortunately the Cajun seasoning completely overpowered the lemon herb and was undetectable. We added the white sauce to the dish, and it perfectly balanced out the meal. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the food, the great staff, and the rustic cozy atmosphere and would definitely...

I kept reading reviews about Portos Peri Peri online and every time I looked for a new halal place to eat. However, living in the Woodlands, it gets a little difficult to drive all the way down south to try out places like this. I knew I had to make the effort and go here because we heard so much about it.

Upon entering, I was very impressed by the cleanliness and their decor which was a very good first impression for me. I always search for places that keep their facility clean and welcoming for their customers. The girl (Laraib) at the front was extremely kind and helpful when he came to us choosing what to eat because it was our first time there.

We ended up getting a whole chicken in the flavor medium, and six wings in the flavors lemon herb and medium (mixed together). Both items were absolutely mouthwatering and delicious! The chicken was so juicy and tender, the flavors were through the roof, and I did not hesitate to get my hands dirty while eating those wings (especially because they have a handwashing station. WIN!) We also added on two small sides to complete our meal. We chose the Portos rice and steamed vegetables. My husband and I enjoyed every single thing and had leftovers to enjoy later that night.

I must add however, the menu and the items remind me almost exactly of Peri Peri Factory off Westheimer, although they are owned by two different people. Can't...
