This was my first visit to this store. I spoke with Bree, on the telephone yesterday and she was very kind and informed when we spoke on all my questions, especially what is not acceptable in Men’s Clothing wear. When I arrived today, i went to the counter and discussed me consigning these Men’s Clothes, and the lady I was speaking with was Bree, who remembered me from our phone conversation yesterday. I brought some Men Clothing” items in to be evaluated if taken for a consignment. I left a bag of men’s clothes for Anna, who does the evaluation if excepted or rejected. I filled out their “Consignment Agreement”, and I was informed that I would receive a call after Christmas on what would be accessible or not. I ended up touring through the store after I finished with Bree. Nicely organized and the items were displayed, named, priced, and tagged appropriately. The store was very clean and organized into departments and categories for easy access and to find things that relate to those particular items. I ended purchasing a few things. I’ll be looking forward to hearing from Anna, who will evaluate the Men’s Clothing items I left, and definitely will revisit this store for...
Read moreMH2Y Consignment is a large thrift store tucked away off Old Trolley Road near Dorchester. Plenty of parking and except for one low step, hc-accessible. The store features a large clothing section which I have not shopped. The draw for me are the home decor pieces. Sofas, love seats, chairs, lamps, desks, bed frames, consoles, cabinets, art prints. These pieces are all carefully curated and on-trend. Stock changes daily so if you like something, act fast. There are no scratch-and-dents here. Everything offered is good quality and the pricing reflects it. I found a Rowe chair, almost new, for $400. Also bought some art prints, nicely matted and framed for $25 a piece. Biggest drawback? No delivery. Had to find someone to help me move the chair. (Thanks, P!) The staff are busy with customers waiting to buy something, or otherwise needing assistance. It's a popular place to go for good quality, gently used furniture and...
Read moreI called to donate a $3,500.00 almost new couch, love seat, coffee table, 2 end tables and 2 lamps for FREE. We are retired and have no children to distory the furniture. The female on the phone said I needed to send photos and if it was acceptable pay $100.00 them to pick it up if it was acceptable to them. The love seat had been sat on 10 times the entire time we had it. WHAT A JOKE!! I was contacted by a former coworker and they took it and said it was in brand new shape. I cannot understand the attitude of the shops personel, and lackadaisical attitude, about someone trying to give them furniture they could sell for a lot of money and being so snotty about it. Why would anyone pay for them to pick up something that they could have for free? They need to look at items in person, touch it, feel it and smell it before rejecting it over the phone. They were only worried about collecting...
