Lake Superior Estuarium — Attraction in Superior

The Estuarium is very well done--well thought-out and designed. A lot of quality information and visuals packed into a relatively small space. Loved the massive map of the estuary and watershed on the floor. Hard to believe I've lived in the Superior area most of my 57 years not having known about the ecological importance of the confluence of St. Louis River waters (and other rivers and streams) into the bays of the Duluth/Superior harbor and eventually to the big lake! I attended an event that is the first in a series related to the St. Louis River. Riverbanks. A local author, Tony D, spoke about Lost Industry of Duluth that was specific to the river. So interesting. He is gifted as a speaker and was very well prepared. One of the best lectures I've ever been too. A great facility for groups 30-50 in size.
