We had just arrived in the Duluth-Superior area and, while we were staying in Superior, we were planning to visit both the Minnesota and Wisconsin sides of Lake Superior. Luckily, we made the Superior Douglas County Welcome Center our first stop. Annette was staffing the Welcome Center, and she was WONDERFUL!! I had been confounded in trying to piece together maps that showed both Duluth and Superior; Annette not only had just what I needed but, much like Hermione with her magical bag, she was able to pull up several more maps, websites, and information pamphlets that were absolutely perfect! We shared our driving tour plans with her, and she found us the official Duluth/Superior area map which showed both cities, the Lake Superior North Shore Drive, and a map of downtown Duluth. It was SO handy to have everything all in one place! We definitely recommend the Superior Douglas County Welcome Center to all travelers in the area; it MORE than lives up to its name, especially with Annette at the helm.
