Martin Park — Attraction in Surfside Beach

Rustic community park offering playground, shuffleboard and covered picnic tables along a thin strip of land along Floral Lake, which is more of a narrow waterway. The location is not well marked and not found on most map searches. Only on street parking is available. The clubhouse separates the shuffleboard area from the playground. Floral Lake Playground is small and clearly marked for younger children. It is fenced in as it is mere feet from the water and the nearby street. Park has numerous trees and benches line the water edge, offering one a cool reprieve during the summer months and a tranquil moment to reflect. One end of the park offers additional benches, picnic tables and a dog potty area, but it is not fenced in and dogs must remain on their leash. Oh my this was just the sweetest little Park in Surfside. I don't really like dog parks because they're all full of that Sandy nasty buggy stuff but this park was beautiful we watched people playing pickleball we had lunch me and the dogs.
