If I could rate this store a 10, I would! From the moment you step into this enchanting shop, you can feel the warmth and positive energy radiating from every corner. I stumbled across this magical corner spot one day and have never looked at another apothecary store since. Katie is an absolutely amazing human who not only owns/runs the shop, is incredibly knowledgeable about all things herbal and holistic, has been a fantastic listener to my numerous stories and phases of life, a referral service, an all knowing of community events, and knows everything about crystals! Katie is a strong member of the community who promotes information helpful to so many people and is voice for those that haven't yet found theirs. This shop has supported me in ways I can't explain. From the Narnia cabinet full of hand selected treasures, to items from local artists, jewelry, clearing items, a donated book exchange, tarot and oracle decks galore, candles and don't forget the oils! They have everything you need to nourish your body, mind, and spirit. Another gem in the store is the amazing reader Molly (mollyisapsychic.) She has a gift like no other, and her readings are always spot on and incredibly insightful. Whether you're seeking guidance or simply looking for a little bit of magic in your life, she is sure to leave you feeling inspired and empowered. Blackbird is a true treasure in our community. It's a place where you can come to not only find amazing products and services, but also to connect with like-minded individuals and feel a sense of belonging. I highly recommend paying them a visit – you won't be disappointed! This...

I am really trying to understand how I allegedly silenced you when I initially entered the store when you were in a deep conversation with the young lady you were helping. I may have not looked directly at you when walking in however IF you had greeted me you could have communicated something like “take a look around and let me know if I can help”. There’s no reason for me to have cut you off if you greeted me when I walked in.
Additionally I disagree with your recap of why the items were left on the opposite side of the store. I was near the register ready to check out but after not being acknowledged I left the items where I was as I didn’t have any indication from you that my business was needed.
I also think it’s in poor taste that you made an assumption about my needs as a customer based on what you personally don’t like when you are shopping.
Lastly, your description of me being dismissive is both inaccurate and as a black woman quite offensive.
In closing, check your assumptions...
Read moreThis space is so beautiful with great books, variety of oils/fragrances, and many items to support magic, hoodoo, and other spiritual practices.
However my visit was very disappointing in that I walked around the store for at least 20 minutes and wasn’t acknowledged. The owner addressed two additional customers that came in AFTER me as well as carried on an extensive conversation with one of those customers. I was NOT acknowledged until after I began exiting the store. When I politely advised her that she didn’t acknowledge me nor ask if I needed help the whole time I was there, instead of apologizing and acknowledging her mistake and offering assistance, she attempted to make excuses. I was disappointed as I was sent to her store by a fellow metaphysical store owner. I am doing my diligence to buy local and not shop Amazon but experiences such as these make it quite...
