So my wife and I came up to visit and we love grocery outlet or rainbow food as we have known them for years. We enjoy visiting grocery outlets in different places. The reason for the one star rating was due to the manager. Around 5:15 pm we were checking out and the exercise mat I thought was a good deal but not the best idea to buy when your in a car with a new born and travling, was 12.99 and i could not pass it up. It rang up as 19.99. so they price checked it. i was cool with it because i saw two other mats with the same sticker price ( i double checked them all to varify the price) there was no price anywhere and they were tucked away in the back corner with other unsold products. After what seemed like forever and the line backing up, everyone going to another lane, and my new born starting to fuss i look over and saw a woman inspecting the mat the young man was carrying. i thought she wanted to buy it and he was answering questions. no it was the manager. after watching her look for another price tag other than the 12.99 sticker on it. she came up and informed us it was miss marked and i said well maybe one but there were multiple mats all with the same price and it was not marked otherwise. now in oregon it is against the law to run false advertising. so in oregon if the store screws up the price they always honor it for that costumer and change the rest. but she said she could not do that but offered to go halfway. thats not much but i was already debating the purchase and she tried to tell me someone placed those tags there. i could believe one maybe two but three with the same price tag on them. no other tags prices or even advert anywhere. so with a smile i said no thank you and left, but seriously worst management i have seen at a groceryoutlet. when greed overcomes customer service i find it irritating. everyone else ( except a gal giving peaple attitude about bags) in the store seemed great and tried atleast to be friendly, i appreciate that. but man really? we will not return to this rainbow food, niether will our family who live here. that attitude is not what i associate with grocery outlet and it is...
Read moreI've signed up for this specific Grocery Outlet location's flyer because most locations offer different specials. Even if you don't use their flyer, you will find great deals here with a fully packed store and helpful staff. This is one of the smaller locations I have been to, but the service has been the best, and I always leave with a trunk full of groceries for less than half what I would pay at Safeway. Only con, (but one that you will see in Pierce County at most grocery stores), remember to take your own bags so you can save the bag charge. I really enjoy the clerk informing me of my savings total at the end of each visit-- the difference and quality of name brand goods keeps...
