Franklin Castle — Local services in Tahlequah

I would love to give them 5 stars, but I can't in good conscience. The downstairs was not comfortable. The temperature outside was miserable, so we wanted to have a special place to be together as a family where it was cool after a float trip. The downstairs was hot. Not only that, but the bedroom downstairs wasn't comfortable for sleeping.

The first night, my husband and I didn't sleep at all. We just tossed and turned trying to sleep. We used the fan in the closet, but it didn't help much. My husband went into the basement, but couldn't get comfortable.

The second night, we raised the fan on some pillows in the chair so it was blowing straight on our faces, so it was somewhat tolerable. I think the only reason we slept the 2nd night was because we were so exhausted from the 1st night.

A message to the owners wasn't answered, so that's all we could do. The property is beautiful,...

Hosts are unwilling to work with guests. We had a death in the family preventing us from staying the weekend we signed up for. I thought the date change request was accepted. Turns out the hosts just didn't accept or deny it, so I never was notified until the original weekend was booked. They would not respond to me at all and they never tried to call me about why I sent the date change request. Took 3K from me and were unwilling to help...

Attended the first biweekly local market here. The Castle is beautiful. It was a perfect venue to reduce the uncomfortable crowds and noise that occur at the Saturday morning Farmers market. Perfect venue for a wedding. Really glad the community is finally using this...
