Ace Ponds — Attraction in Takoma Park

3/20/21 Peter just finished extracting a substantial root from a nearby tree that was interfering with the integrity of our upper pond. The work required deconstructing the rocks, cleaning out the many roots and sub-roots that had infiltrated over the years, and then reconstructing the falls. The results were beautiful. Peter has quite an eye for design and the unique puzzle-work of putting odd shaped rocks together to fit well, look organic, while creating a dynamic yet calm look with the relaxing sounds of babbling water. He's been a pleasure to work with and a trusted contractor year after year. You can't go wrong with Peter as your pond overlord.

Summer 2020 We've enjoyed working with Peter, owner of Ace Ponds, for the past several years. He's always easily accessible and personable, responsive, and quite fair in his pricing. I highly recommend this company. Petar and his team did an outstanding job creating a new pond in our back yard that looks incredible, better than we imagined. They patiently answered all our questions and provided helpful information before starting the project (and we had a lot of questions). This creative and hardworking team created a pond with a natural shape, varying stone sizes that fit like a puzzle, 4 gentle waterfalls, and installed large-sized pond plantings! I installed a Goodyear 45 mil 10x15 Edpm pond liner in a pond that I converted from a preform to a larger in ground pond. It was a lot of work. I have a pressure filter with the system. Overnight the water level dropped 6 inches. I assumed it was the liner and started to call around for a new one. No store carries them; only on line. I called Ace Ponds to see if they could help me or have a liner they could sell me. The gentleman on the phone explained it was much more likely to be the pressure filter than the high quality liner and advised me to turn off the pump and filter, refill the pond, and see what happens over 24 hours. He was right ; after 8 hours the water level was stable and I discovered that part of a hosta leaf was jammed in the filter cover and allowed it to leak. Problem solved .
