Capital Discount Bedding (CDB) is the first place I visited while in the market for two new beds.

Afterwards, I visited every other bed vendor that I could find in Tallahassee. After full comparison and several days to consider the information, I went back CDB and purchased two new beds.

The prices and selection are varied enough to fit any reasonable budget, including a notably low budget, like mine.

Rather than trying to get me to focus on more expensive products, Linda, the owner, asked me what I was looking for, and then showed me several beds and offered some professional wisdom and advice. She answered all of my questions, provided me a list of the beds I had looked at, along with each corresponding price, and let me leave without giving me any sales pressure or confusing information, which I did receive from two other well-known competitors.

Their delivery staff scheduled my delivery around my work schedule. They were very friendly, courteous, and professional. They also thanked me several times for buying my beds from their company. They get it!!!

I highly recommend Capital Discount Bedding to anyone who is in the market for a new bed, or just a mattress. CDB offers a sufficient selection of high quality bedding in a very pleasant shopping environment, both of which are just large enough without being overwhelming. CDB also adds a neighborly friendliness and honesty that allows the customer to relax and focus on filling a personal need, rather than having to outmaneuver a sales shark.

If I still live in Tallahassee when I need another new bed, I will go back to Linda and her staff at Capital Discount Bedding.

Need nice, fairly-priced bedding for your college student? LOOK NO FURTHER! I stopped in Labor Day weekend after hitting a nearby national chain store first, and was very unimpressed by what was available in the $200-$300 range for a full-size bed. The two ladies in the store were beyond friendly and accommodating, took the time to explain my options, and even opened a packaged mattress in the back for me to try out for my daughter. We found a great set for under $260, and decided to upgrade to something a little nicer and it was still under $400 and a fantastic value for what we were getting. They even helped load the set into the van and are pros at tying the mattress to the roof. Don't despair if you hit other spots first and can't afford an arm and a leg for junk-- save yourself a headache and wasted time and COME HERE! If we were local, I'd check them out for my own "adult"...

Would not shop here again. Went in letting them know we didn’t want foam mattress bc we had one and we’re having back problems. They suggested one that was a “deal” bc it had an imperfection “but nothing noticeable - just a cosmetic thing.” It seemed fine when we laid on it for a few minutes in the store. So we spent $1300 for the “deal”. In less that a year it became apparent that the underside was foam when it got pushed through the slats of our bedframe and now the mattress is permanently mashed in one area so the end of the bed is like a slide sipping down to the floor. In addition, the thing has no support. Where we sit or sleep on it regularly there are dips. $1300 and we are right back where we started. Expensive lesson to learn.
