I first want to say I’m a regular here and come weekly with a group of people and we alternate turns reserving a space. I’m really glad Tallahassee has a place like this, the staff are mostly very friendly, and I have a good time.
However the upkeep of this venue is dire. It’s getting more gross and more broken every time I come. The management needs to see this and make changes or it can’t last. There’s holes in the walls, dusty broken drywall in every wall. Duct tape and electrical cables all over the ground. The fences are broken and sharp. Worst of all, the furniture is horrendously disgusting, unwashed, and dangerously unsanitary. Every time we come the couches are covered in dirt, sweat, food, and literal blood (biohazard). No cleaning is done in between groups other than clearing glasses and plates. Sweaty people are touching dirty furniture soaked with other people’s sweat and blood and then eating food in these conditions. I come every week and the same stains are still there. It’s clear the cushions aren’t cleaned nearly often enough (if at all?)
I’m begging the owners to drop the money it takes to get waterproof covers for the furniture that can be sanitized and wiped down (vinyl, fake leather, plastic covers… anything) or wash the cushion covers at least daily. There’s a reason gym equipment is covered in rubber and vinyl. This is common sense to me. You’re lucky someone hasn’t gotten sick and sued.
Hire someone to wash cushions and repair the damage to your venue, guys. You’re gonna let this investment crumble into squalor and eventually lose everything.
Again I like this place and want it to succeed but I had to speak up. These conditions just aren’t acceptable and are getting dangerous. I’m considering involving the department of health. It’s getting that gross. I attached two quick photos of the furniture we had today when we arrived. Wet, sticky, stained, and...
Read moreThe pickle was very cool. I love the place lots of Pickleball courts. Lots of things to do while you’re not playing Pickleball and I didn’t try the food yet, but the menu looked inviting the food looked good and the atmosphere and the place was wonderful and their scheduled times that you plague so you could pick that apart and get there when there’s not a crowd I mean we’d like to play pickle ball but we’re not enthusiastic as most people are in competitive so you might I don’t know how that’s gonna work out because there’s out there was groups of Doubles competing for and playing so but anyway, it seems as though it’s a nice excuse me it is a nice area. The place has an upstairs with more activity to do. I believe there is a pool table of ping-pong table just a lot of activity that you could sit and relax and you could also engage in Pickleball. Do you want to many many courts there? I thought it was a wonderful location and an idea. I wish we had one in Southwood area if I had an extra million I would buy the, Toys “R” Us on Appalachia Parkway building. It’s been vacant for years and put another one in pickle pickle. I love it. Sorry I didn’t take any photos but I’m telling you it’s a place to hang definitely...
Read moreWe went one time with a bunch of adults ate and played. Found it odd the way the manager had told us we could continue playing until a certain time and then called us off. All in all we were there briefly and wanted to give it another shot with our kids. Called to reserve courts with 5 families and our children. We wanted 4 courts originally, they told me with the number of people I had to buy an event package starting at $150 and have a buffet. I explained it wasn’t an event and everyone would be paying separate. They told me an event coordinator would call me to arrange. And understood it wasn’t an event. No one called. Next day courts that were available were then booked up and we couldn’t even reserve the 2 courts they had from the day before. It was a “you’re sold out of luck” attitude. Read previous comments about the general manager and that’s the lady that spoke to me. Attitude. We pivoted and reserved courts in our neighborhood.
From this experience of how they dealt with this situation and what we experienced the time we were there and ate ITS NOT WORTH IT & LIKELY wont be around...
