Be careful with buying here. You don't know rather this business value the their customers unless an issue comes up. I have supported this business for some time now (even bought online); however my latest experience has been eye opening. I bought two bracelets and a ring here on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Today just less than a few days later I reported the quality of one of my new bracelets (the string for it is thinner than normal and I have been constantly working with a string that is out of place). I checked their website and noticed that they only have a return policy; which I do not want a return for money; I want to exchange for a better quality bracelet. I called in and asked regarding exchanging; and was told that a manager requested a receipt. Please note that when you are checking out with items like this, they are cutting tags and asking if you would like to wear the items (which is fine because some people do) or if you need a receipt; so if you declined for any reason; you would be in my situation or if you just get rid of receipts randomly; you would be in my situation. I offered my credit card statement, however, they refused it still. Please get your RECEIPTS and KEEP them. Be careful when patronizing a business like this. Considering the cost of the items, this is a disgusting practice. Had I kept it for months on end that would be questionable, but less than a week; is insane. Beware and check your items thoroughly! Do not leave without a receipt and just keep the paper receipt somewhere- you don't need it, until you need it. There website states: "We strive for quality and do our best to ensure that everything in our shop stands up to your expectations. If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact us!" What's the point if you brush customers off and nothing is resolved regarding...

May 2023 update: Kratom, delta 8, CBD - if you're shopping anywhere else, you're wasting money, missing quality product and losing out on the best store experience ever in Tallahassee. It's been years since we started coming here and it's as top notch today and Day 1.

2022 review Update: If I could add more stars to my review, I would. Not one day, visit or purchase has gone by that I haven't loved at this shop. The constantly updated product inventory makes every trip there a joy because there's always something amazing to see. Everyone who works at Stone Age is FANTASTIC to visit - each of them know their craft, their product, their customers..not just "their job". I love the meditation sessions they host as well - it's been an amazing experience to attend. This shop really is a home away from home for me and I can't imagine going anywhere else.

My absolute favorite shop in the entirety of Tallahassee. The only location we will buy Kratom, CBD and Delta8 products from; top quality selection on those notes - always, hands down, and the best prices to match. And I'm obsessed with their entire inventory of literally everything else you can think of: Gemstones, incense, pieces being sold from local artists and and tidbits I find my own inspiration from...on and on it goes. What really makes Stone Age top notch though are the people working there. Beyond being extremely honest & knowledgeable about every single piece and product within their walls, they're also extremely friendly and comfortable with customers so that you feel like friends rather than just...

I love this shop for the variety of selection. However I recently had a less than great experience here. I am a pretty good patron and have spent a little less than $1000 since finding them.

On one occasion an item's price was mislabeled and I did not appreciate how they handled the situation.

And most frequently the same day I bought my handmade evil eye bracelet it broke and I called the store the next day to see what could be done. They said they would gladly replace it for me, but when I showed up a few days later (difficulty traveling with CoVID and life priorities) with my receipt the young lady would no process a refund and instead "fixed it" at the counter.

I was not at all happy with this. A better option would have been to replace the defective product and place the one they had given back on clearance. I can see the visible burn mark and tie imperfections. Also the copper jewels on the bracelet have begun to turn.

LASTLY, for anyone with sensitivities do not buy their wrapped crystals. I broke out along my neck an collar bone from wearing their amethyst pendant. Please note that I purchased one of their more expensive pendants which was sterling silver with better results.

The workers do seem to be genuinely helpful however there is room for improvement. It just rubbed me the wrong way that I was given one story over the phone and...

I felt racially profiled here....Usually have a ok time going there. I guess when I was there someone had just stolen or walked out on their bill. I didn't care I was in my own world reading the books that had nothing to do w me or my friend. I was regular paying customer. The first worker asked if I was ok and I said I was fine and kept looking through the books then another worker asks me if I'm ok as I'm walking around. Meanwhile my best friend ‼️( the only other customer in the whole store besides me at the time) ‼️who doesn't share the same skin tone as me wasn't asked anything a single time we were there. The owner says if they were nearby they would assume she “overheard” but my friend was clear cross the store both times I was asked a question. And honestly a store full of workers and only two customers and only one customer gets “over helped” doesn’t seem effective or true. They were worried I was going to steal based off my skin tone.

Stone Age is one of my favorite local stores, and has one of the best selections I’ve seen from a metaphysical shop. If crystals, candles and incense aren’t for you, then you’ll hate it. Their crystal prices are mid-range in my opinion. Prices aren’t really higher than the (authentic) crystals found on etsy, except having a brick-and-mortar store allows the shopper to find crystals that they really connect with. (A benefit that is lost when trying to shop online) The fragrance oils are noteworthy, as they are very inexpensive. I am extremely happy with the oils I’ve purchased there. The jewelry selection is beautiful and much more unique than the trendy “fast fashion” found at other stores. I’ve had a garnet poison ring from the shop that is one of my all-time favorite pieces of jewelry.
