My fist time here, and my first time eating Venezuelan food, but it will definitely not be my last! Such a cute, intimate restaurant, with a great patio, even in the hot August heat. I have had arepas before from a Columbian restaurant, so I was familiar with the concept, but this one I had today was the best one ever. It was honestly one of the best things I've eaten, ever.

I ordered the Arepa de Pabellon, which had black beans, shredded beef & fried sweet plantains, and I paid extra to add cheese as well. It comes with a green dipping sauce on the side, that I believe is an avocado cilantro cream sauce, that was out of this world. I'd love to figure out how to recreate the sauce at home myself, because it would be so good on so many things. Back to the arepa though - the arepa itself is thick and fluffy, and they STUFFED this thing so full. I ordered a side of rice to go with it, but it wasn't necessary (and ended up taking it home with me for my toddler), because the arepa was packed so full and was very filling. The combination of flavors from the meat, cheese, plantains & sauce was just incredible, and I couldn't seem to stop myself from groaning at every delicious bite.

My friend ordered the Arepa Camaron, which had a cold shrimp salad, peppers, tomatoes, onions, avocado, Thousand Island & tabasco. And I know she loved every bite of hers and raved about how much shrimp was actually in there. And she loved the same green dipping sauce as well.

It wasn't overly crowded, but just busy enough, with plenty of tables inside & outside. There also seemed to be plenty of folks picking up to-go orders, so that's a good option as well. Can't wait to come back and try something new! (But I'll definitely be tempted to get the same...

WOW!

WOW WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE!!! The vibes were ✨Phenomenal✨ and the employees were extremely nice, relatable, and overall positive. I ordered a cachapa, an arepa pabellon, and my boyfriend ordered an arepa rumbera. The Arepas are HUGE! And super stuffed, they do not skimp out like other places do. These arepas don’t play. If you’re looking for authentica Venezuelan food, this is the place to go!!! The cachapa I ordered was delicious as well. It was big, and filled with ham and cheese. No air pockets :). Eating the cachapa took me back to when I’d pick one up on my way to school from Don Pan in Miami. It was exactly what I anticipated but better! I’m so happy I found this place! Will definitely be ordering in the future. I wish this business, the owners, and employees (and their families) all the success! All the business! All the happiness and more! Thank you for reading my extremely long and passionate review :). Now go place an...

I recently dined at VeneBites, a Venezuelan restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida, and had a mixed experience. The restaurant boasts a pleasant atmosphere and the staff was courteous throughout our visit. They offer a wide variety of Venezuelan favorite dishes, making it difficult to choose.

For our meal, we decided to try the "Cachapa," a sweet corn tortilla filled with plenty of cheese. It was a delightful combination of flavors and we hope they find the right cheese to gain the perfect taste. We also ordered their hamburger, which was bursting with homemade sauces and veggies, providing a rich and satisfying taste.

To accompany our meal, we opted for a Polar beer, a historically significant brand that unfortunately suffered due to Venezuela's political turmoil. Surprisingly, the beer is now produced by Florida Brewery Inc. and distributed by "Licores Maduro," an ironic connection given Maduro's current position as the dictator of Venezuela.

We also tried the Chica, a thick and tasty beverage that complemented our meal nicely. Overall, the food at VeneBites was good, but there is certainly room for improvement.

Despite the positive aspects, the restaurant could focus on refining certain elements to enhance the dining experience. Nonetheless, the variety of Venezuelan dishes and the amiable atmosphere, coupled with the attentive staff, make VeneBites worth a visit for anyone craving a taste of Venezuela in...

*hidden gem alert* The hubz and I went to Venebites today (off 3rd Avenue). It was my second time and his first. I still can’t get over how good the food is. Hubby was very impressed. The arepas are unbelievable… actually everything there is incredible. Appetizer and drinks: Tequenos and Polar O goodness. The only thing I can equate Tequenos to is mozzarella sticks, but that doesn’t do it justice. They are on another level with the scrumptious crust and cheese filled center. The Venezuelan beer was fruity, smooth and light. So refreshing and perfect on this sunny day. Arepas: Arepa Pelua and Arepa Rumbera I had the Arepa Pelua (pictured) which is shredded beef and cheese (added avocado). The meat is so well seasoned and their cheese is delicious. All the flavors meld so perfectly together. Esp with their dipping sauce. The staff were so friendly and kind and helpful with our order. Super reasonable prices. The patio is lovely, inviting and made for a perfect spot to share an unforgettable meal on this beautiful day. I cannot wait to go back and try more arepas as well as the flan!!! Highly recommend VeneBitestally1!
