
I was going to call the shop but pretty sure these ladies won't be honest!! I came in after maybe a year of not having a blowout. Im not new to blowouts. They normally last me about 5 days in the FL heat then my hair is back curling up. I already know the trick where Dominicans put KERATIN in the conditioner to make your hair stay straight longer. I went with my gut & trusted this salon bc the lady who used to do my hair here was not deceptive. As soon as I came in the salon I noticed my previous stylist left the establishment. A new lady was doing my hair & said she was leaving by 5p after I said I WANT A BLOWOUT, W/ ROLLERS & TO SIT UNDER THE DRYER & I DON'T WANT ANY KERATIN OR CHEMICAL. She acknowledged everything I said. I agreed not to sit under the dryer but now I realize it was because they in fact did put a chemical in my hair. My hair stayed straight 2 weeks which I knew was abnormal. Today I went to do my wash & go as I normally do & as I was washing my hair I smell a weird like chemical smell & I notice my 3c curly hair is not automatically curling up as it used to. I'M LIVID!! You can see the curl pattern in parts of the crown of my head then my length is about 3 inch of straight hair. It looks likes someone who is growing out a perm! THEY ARE FRAUDS! IF U CAN'T ACHIEVE A STRAIGHT LOOK ON SOMEONE WITH CURLY HAIR SIMPLY SAY THAT BUT SNEAKING & USING CHEMICALS IS NEGLIGENT. I'M SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING SMALL CLAIMS COURT AND DEFINITELY WRITING THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU to report the deceptive practices. MY NATURAL GIRLIES WITH CURLS BE CAUTIOUS OF THIS SHOPS DECEPTIVE PRACTICES!

   Read moreI am posting this for my sister. "I went for a haircut and I love it! This is my second time coming here. I love how the stylist asked before she washed my hair what I wanted. She was nice and very understanding and knows what she is doing, and you can tell she has a passion for what she does, I love that. I hope this is right, it says on my receipt that the service was done by Jannifer, I highly recommend her! The only thing I did not like was when I first walked into the salon there was a different lady who worked there sitting in one of the salon chairs and if I remember correctly she greeted me with âwhat do you wantâ but not friendly in my opinion, it was pretty unwelcoming, if I was a new client I probably would have walked out. Other than that, I loved the service and will be coming back. One tip I do have though is to always confirm the prices before you get anything done. My aunt did come here once because I told her about it, and she only wanted a haircut and no blow dry, she made it clear. That day there was only one stylist and she only spoke Spanish, but the guy at the receptionist desk was translating for us. My aunt got the haircut and the lady made it seem like she was going to blow dry my aunts hair for free because we told her in the beginning no blow dry and made it clear. But she did it anyways and my aunt ended up having to spend $25 more which was $50 in total with the haircut, not including tip. That is how they get you. What if my aunt didnât have the extra $25 to spend on the blow dry? And on top of that my aunt has very thin hair, like very thin hair and it was short and not even curly. She should have at least cut down the price down for her. So be very clear on the price, and be very clear on the service or services you want because nothing is free. But it was very wrong of that lady to do what she did, she made it seem like she was doing it on the side. But overall, I do recommend...
   Read moreMade an appointment with the owner Judith for a keratin smoothing treatment. Confirmed the appt with her the night before. Arrived at the salon to be told Judith wasn't there and that she cancelled her appts for the rest of the day. Woman at the front called her and she handed me the phone to talk her. Judith apologized saying she had an emergency and needed to pick up her daughter and asked if her sister in law can do my hair. I drove over 40 min to get to the salon so I just wanted to go ahead and get it done. She applied the keratin which was left on about 20 min under heat and then the keratin was washed out which I thought was kind of odd (I had it done before and it was heat infused in, wasn't washed out) then my hair was blow dryed and flat ironed. The end result was pretty nice. Wss told it would.last 3-4 months so we'll see about that. I go to check out and was told it would be $200. I questionned it and the woman who did my hair said keratin is 150.and up.. Mind you I asked Judith about a rough estimate when I made the appt. She said it would be 100 and up. I thought ok well my hair is a little longer so its probably going to land me around $150 not double the price! I refused to pay the $200 so the sister in law called Judith again. Judith then tells me 100 and up was a special which is now over. Keep in mind as she is telling me this Im looking at the price board they have up behind the register and it clearly says 'keratin 100 and up' She then said they had to use extra product on my hair so they have to charge extra.. Told her I understood and expected that but not double the price. Long story short Irefused to pay the $200 and she ended up charging me $160.
