I happened to be visiting Tampa, and saw little Facebook video of young female influencer type visiting this place so I decided to look it up, and it just so happened to be less than a mile from where I'm staying. Trying real, fresh Turkish Delight has been one of my bucket list items I've wanted to try for a while now, and despite being on a Keto diet right now, I just couldn't pass up the chance to mark that experience off the bucket list, because I thought I would literally never get to have that experience outside of the Middle East. WOW! What an experience. If you're like me and find boxed Turkish Delight to be just meh, this is a WHOLE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE! Soft, rich, and delicate, and the variety of flavors that only Middle Eastern food cultures can provide. I'm talking Hazelnut covered in cinnamon, pomegranate, I got one covered in saffron, another in rose petal, my goodness! Just a delectable variety. They have a whole smorgasbord of various roasted nuts with different spices. I got some lemon saffron covered pistachios, and a mixture of smoked nuts. There's all kinds of imported goods like various tahinis, cheeses, olives, etc. I got a date vinegar that I'm gonna have to figure out how to use, but sounds extremely promising, and the spice variety is impressive too. They sell it by the pound, and it's presented like you see in those Middle Eastern spice markets, piled up for you to scoop to your liking. Heaven! I got the Palestinian chicken spice, and some Saudi Kabsa, and the staff was super helpful in helping me with how it's used traditionally, so I'm looking forward to using those. Try the coffee. I thought they sold it, but they actually just give it out for free in the store. It tastes kinda like a chai tea in that they infuse the coffee with ginger and other spices. I have been a loyal customer of this store, regularly buying nuts, coffee, gummies, ice cream, and home items, but after today's experience, they have lost my business.

A few months ago, I bought two plates for $15 each. Today, I returned and noticed the same plates were marked for $20, so I purchased two more at that price. After getting to my car, I decided to buy more nuts and additional plates as gifts, so I went back in less than 10 minutes later. While paying for the nuts and plates, I was informed that the plates had been mistakenly marked and that they were actually $40 each. They insisted that I pay $40 per plate, including the difference for the plates I had just bought 10 minutes ago.

I showed them my receipt from when i bought them for $15, and instead of fixing the situation, they demanded I pay the full price for the plates and the difference or return the ones i already bought. This is beyond ridiculous and not how you treat a customer rather less a returning one. If it wasn’t for Abeer, who handled the situation with grace, I would have returned also the 7 lbs of nuts. on top of everything, the owner, who knows me as a regular, refused to even speak with me.

This experience was extremely disappointing. Instead of correcting their mistake, they tried to make me pay for it. I value good customer service, and sadly, this store have 0 skills in handling any situation . I’ll be taking my business to Roasted, where I’ve never been mistreated like this. Store smelled amazing (full of sweets and spices) but very very over priced! Also, not the best customer service. They looked tired, not wanting to be there. Purchased the Dubai chocolate, asked the guy the price of the item and he seemed annoyed. $15for half a bar and $25 for full bar. I then asked to purchase the bar and I noticed him opening a fridge that contains several different colors and flavors. He proceeds to give me a milk chocolate bar, So I ask questions to inquire what bar I have versus the others and he still seemed lifeless and annoyed I was asking (as a 1st time customer). I just wanted to make sure I was buying the correct one since they sell homemade bars and do not come in any type of chocolate wrapper. He ended up switching it out as I wanted the sweeter bar. Since they 🍫 are homemade they are not wrapped up like candy bars, they come in some sort of small clear plastic bag then it is placed in a small zip lock bag. Very interesting. (Random thought... I hope they make it at the store and not inside a randoms person kitchen). I would be willing to go back and maybe try something new.. nuts or pastries hopefully service would be better if not... people check out Bora Bora or Bekdash in...
