Nails At New Tampa — Attraction in Tampa

I must say today was a laughable experience. I've been going to this salon for almost two years now. I am very loyal when i find a place that produces quality work and Taylor was just that in my opinion. However the last few visits weren't quite as pleasant as before and I noticed the customer service I used to experience before was no longer the case... which also affected how i began to tip for the work done. Today I had an appt for two. I've been out of town for about a month so i brought my companion with me to experience his first pedicure. My cousin also wanted to come so i added another to our existing already existing appointment without any issue. After picking up my cousin, I encountered some traffic and told the owner I would be 5 minutes late. He said okay but informed he would cancel if i was ten minutes late. Well when i realizes it may be more than 5 minutes, I called back to reschedule to avoid inconveniencing anyone. At that time he cancelled the appt. We decided to just go in as walk ins. While parking, my companion entered and was told that they would be able to seat 3 together in approx. 30 min. I guess the owner was surprises when he saw me walk in as one of the 3 after he had just informed that he couldn't schedule anything. Must have been just as surprised as i was to see most of the pedicure chairs EMPTY and barely anyone in the salon when it's usually busy. Surprises for everyone!!!! So at that time he informs... all of a sudden... that he can take two but not three, can't sit all of us together, and we could not wait for 3 chairs (which were already empty) to open at one time. Quite a different story than what he informed my companion of just 5 minutes earlier. Oh... I forgot to mention, my original appt was for 3:30 pm and we got there at 3:36... smh. So they then come up with the excuse that even if we wait, they would be unable to service us because they expected a lot of people to show up because of spring break!!!!! This... the place that takes walk-ins and was damn near EMPTY!!!! Literally no one was there but employees except for us and 4 other clients (2 manis and 2 pedis). This will be my absolute last time walking in their doors!! Trust me!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Especially when first time clients are involved. They... especially the owner... should truly be ashamed to say they treat their loyal customers of years like this. I WON'T BE...

Tried this place two weeks ago and got a mani with AMY- even had my daughter come with me the next mani and she got fills. The techs were pretty good so today I called to go back with AMY. The owner (guy) took my apt. and when I got there he clearly looked like 'uh oh'... Sure enough, with no real excuse he said 'have a seat'. I waited about 7 minutes when he tells a nail tech sitting in the pedi chair to come do my nails. So why couldn't she begin 7 minutes ago? Besides the fact they screwed up, this woman was coughing and not very good at all. She barely worked on the cuticles and when I showed her, she cut me. When she told me to wash I went to the bowl (the other times I used the bathroom). The brush was soooo smashed, probably from a year's worth of woman brushing and cleaning - GROSS! Polish is definitely not her skill and left waves in my thumb nail. I asked her to re-do that nail and she did , better. After polishing, she came over to check if I was dry after about 5 minutes. She left her fingerprints in two of my nails she checked. I was done and didn't say anything. Sat another 5 to dry more and went to pay. The OWNER saw me but didn't acknowledge me as he was ' very busy' getting another client -not his- a NEW bottle of polish for her mani. I waited to pay ,watching the movie they have playing for about 5 more minutes when he nodded- I'll be there in a minute. Then asked if all was OK I said 'it was OK, but I like AMY better' reminding him I wanted Amy. I said the cuticle work was weak and could I have a little cuticle oil to put a dab on my nails. He said 'OH that's not included in your manicure, that's a more expensive manicure'. I tried explaining that the manicure sucked(although I didn't say sucked), but he didn't want to offer up the oil. REALLY OWNER GUY? Too make things right and have me come back, with my daughter , tell my friends , you don't want to apply 25cents worth of...

I visit here for the first time in October 2023. I received great service. I then continue to follow up at this location until just recently. I missed an appointment that I was unable to reschedule due to a family emergency and was decline service by the tech I was scheduled with. I understood her reasoning so therefore I proceeded to allow other nail techs to do my nails. The last time I visit I was charged $94( $10tip included) for a full set over my natural nails with gel polish which were already cut down to 3/4” and basic eyebrows wax. I did not complain. At this point I was brushing it off until today. It has been confirmed they have been trying to decline me from service based on my no show appointment because the literally make me wait 30+ plus mins for service and when I ask for an appointment with the tech I had an initial appointment the owner said her schedule was booked but everyone else was available instead. As I know this is a private business and they are not required to service any and everyone but if you as a business did not want to service me then that should’ve been cleared 2 months ago. After that no show I still went to get my nails done when I came back in town 2 days later and explained to them what happened. Being over charged and getting horrible service after a no show is really disrespectful. At this point I have wasted money and time that I can’t get back but could’ve searched for another salon rather sticking with a salon that obviously do not care to serve me. Just as there is 100+ other clients they can serve there are just as many salon located near me to serve me. If you are a person that usually get mistreated or displaced on a daily basis please avoid this place of business. Oh and don’t be a no show. That will count against you forever despite any...
