Bennion Park Playground — Attraction in Taylorsville

I was visiting a friend at the rehab just up the road and I brought my dogs to visit her but I needed to wear down their energy first. I saw this little park on Google Maps and thought it was perfect. As it turns out all they have is that little playground and a big open field. My dogs are Pomeranians and they don't listen if I take them off the leash. If I had a big dog that was well behaved this would be the perfect place to throw a ball! So if you've got actual human children with energy to burn off it's a great place to let them play on the equipment and of course if you have that big dog that can play fetch for hours this place is awesome! This park is a great spot for kids! The playground has plenty of swings and fun equipment to keep them busy, and there are plenty of benches around so you can sit and watch. There’s also a small pavilion that provides shade, though it’s set a little ways back from the playground—nice for a break, but not the best if you need to keep a close eye on little ones. The big open field is perfect for running around, playing catch, or just letting kids burn off energy. This place is so much fun to sled at in the winter! Super steep, so be careful, and bring a sturdy sled...there’s a pile of shattered sleds next to me in this pic, as you can see.
