This trail is a very long trail connecting the East end of M-50 to Burt St at the damn. The trail offers numerous paths at different distances that allows you to loop back to your starting point. It's nestled along the River Raisin, and once a path used by Native Americans to travel East to west through Michigan. Plenty of trees provide beautifully shaded trails and homes to many native animals. The beginning of the trail sits atop a hill next to an old Mill pond behind the old City Recreation Building. Lots of dear today, saw a fawn bedded down today about 5:30 pm. Also saw about 30 kayakers on the river. All 3 dams were flowing water (2 small and 1 Large). Such a beautiful place! Well worth it!
