Had a lovely first visit thanks to the kind staff and tasty food! Their food is served in to-go containers whether you dine in or take away which makes it easy to bring home leftovers (you will absolutely have them if you order entrees). The portions are very generous for the price (expect to pay about $15-$20 per person).
The flavors were up to my high standards. The hummus and garlic paste are perfect! I ordered the Shish Tawook (chicken) entree and it came with a large serving of fluffy, moist rice along with the chicken and a heaping handful of pickles. On the side it came with pita bread and a huge container of hummus, plus two 2 oz cups of garlic paste.
They also offer a variety of bakery items that look absolutely delicious. I didn't grab any this visit, but will absolutely do so in the future!
My only "criticism" regarding the food would be that I want more grilled veggies! If they served grilled onion and bell pepper with the Shish Tawook they would get a 100/100 from me.
Hopping over to the dine-in experience, the restaurant is a bit small and the grill is rather loud so it can be difficult to chat if you dine in. Not a huge issue, especially if you prefer take out, but wanted to mention for anyone who may be hard of hearing!
Overall, I highly recommend and will be...
Read more(short version) A fantastic new(ish) restaurant featuring my favorite type of food, if you've never had Greek/Mediterranean food before you need to come here and give this place a try!
(long version) To be fair I've only dined in once, so this review is mostly about the food quality and service (on the phone and on pickup). This is an amazing new establishment in Tecumseh I am so happy that I can order all of my favorite types of food from a near by establishment.
Portion sizes are fantastic, usually if I ordered a gyro from Alpha or other places I'd have to ask for fries or something else as well. Pita Delight's portions are perfect where you only need to order one thing and you're good. Everything I've had there has been enjoyable. My wife and I have eaten from there several times and intend to continue long into the future.
If you've never tried Greek or Mediterranean food I highly recommend you go here and try everything. Btw my first falafel was from here (mostly because I like gyros because of the meat) and it is amazing, it quite closely competes with my love of gyros. Keep up...
Read moreTook my girlfriend here for lunch. We approached the counter and after approaching the counter we thought we were going to have our order taken and the phone rang and the lady decided it was more important to take an order over the phone then a customer that's been standing there. I looked over and seen multiple to go orders sitting there and I thought it was completely rude to get priority to someone sitting at home making an order as opposed to someone that made the effort to actually come to your restaurant and order. Just my opinion but if I had a restaurant and someone was calling I would put them on hold until I handle the people that were actually visiting my business. After that rude display of non-professionalism we turned around and walked out and went to salsarias and got served right away didn't have to wait on phone calls or take out orders! 1 star will not return to this place. They definitely do things backwards unless you like to order from home then you...
