I’ve been to many pottery and art studios since childhood, and I can honestly say that Clay It Forward stands out in the best way. You can always tell when a place is just focused on making money versus when it’s run by a true artist who genuinely wants to bring creativity into people’s lives. Clay It Forward is absolutely the latter.
This studio is a space where anyone can come to unleash their inner artist, whether you’re a complete beginner or have been creating for years. The owner is always kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful in assisting with ideas or techniques, while also giving you the freedom to make your own vision come to life. It’s clear that not only is there an artistic passion behind this business, but also a strong sense of how to run it well. The décor is beautiful, the atmosphere is inspiring, and everything about the space feels inviting.
In a very short time, Clay It Forward has become a true staple in our community—a place where people can relax, create, and connect. We’re so fortunate to have it here in Tecumseh, and I couldn’t recommend it...

I brought my children there 2 days after our cat passed away so that the kids could have some "art therapy" to help them through this difficult time; they spent 3 hours painting cats and loved it. Katie was so welcoming and kind, asking them about her and wanting to see pictures of her - being there truly helped them cope with their grief. The pieces that they painted were ready just a couple of days later - incredible turnaround time! (The kids painted more that day, too, and we are excited to see those pieces as well.) There is a great selection of not only pottery to paint there but other craft kits and activities to take home. I cannot say enough about how much we love Clay It Forward and how excited we are to have them in our...
Read moreThis place is just what Tecumseh needed. Great and wholesome project for adults and children. The owner could not be nicer. I've been in a few times and I will definitely be back. The biggest problem there is that there are so many cute and fun pieces to choose, from it's so hard to pick which one you want to do the most. The prices are fair so I have been guilty to pick more than 1 piece at a time. Love how personal and inviting this business is and I love how they do so much for the community supporting little...
