Wow! What a little gem in Tecumseh. The building itself has that old-world charm reminiscent of an old-timey mercantile. There are shelves of fun sauces and you can see the huge wine vat from the balcony. The owner had been sooooo knowledgeable. I loved getting to taste the wines, especially pairing it with the different sauces and jams. The only thing that would make this SUPER is some little tapas served at little individual tables served with a glass of their really tasty wines. While we were there, a family came in looking for a Fairy Door. "A Fairy Door?" we asked. Apparently, Tecumseh has type of scavenger hunt (looking for the Fairy Door!) for the kids in over 20 stores! Dollar wine tastings of a size that's unmatched with amazing recommended pairings. The host's explanation of the pairings, wines, and what to expect from the entire experience was completely on-point. Not only did I enjoy the wines I tried, I also stepped out learning a thing or two about how to experience wines. Importantly, for those who care, I ended up buying wines and memorabilia from here and all of it truly was value-for-money (if that concept even exists in this day and age of inflated prices l)!

Read moreMy wife and I enjoyed wine tasting with Ed (business manager) and Dan (winemaker) on 13 Feb 24. We enjoyed several of the $2 tastings, as well as several $1 tastings. We purchased two bottles of wine. Ed was very accommodating, giving us great information about the wines we tasted. Dan then took us to the basement of the property, built in the 1870s, to show us where the wine is processed.
