Elite Nails & Spa — Attraction in Temple Terrace

I had stopped coming here a couple of years ago because every time I did it was a very uncomfortable experience. It had been a while, so I figured I would try it again. For sure I can say it was equally as bad, if not worse, than before. I did not have an appointment, so I fully expected to wait. They opened at 9 am and I was there as they were opening their doors. I did wait a few minutes shy of 60 minutes to get taken to a chair to sit for several more minutes before someone was free.

I had my existing gel toenail polished removed before I went (previous bad experiences with this, so I do it myself at home). I was horrified to see that she took a large carbine tip for the e-file and proceeded to use it on all of my naked nails. That tip is usually used to remove product on the nails (gel, dip, acrylic, etc). It was on the bare nail! Not only that, my skin got caught several times with her making the passes on the nails. When I spoke up and said something about the pain of it, she just used a smaller version of the tip. The biggest concern for me is it did not appear that these attachments were from sterilized packaging. I have no idea if they actually were clean being used on me.... and breaking skin with them on top of all of that. Also.... I thought using the cheese grater on feet was illegal in the state of Florida?

Sadly, even the massage portion of this pedicure was pretty uncomfortable. The digging in with pointy thumbs makes for a painful experience. I was just trying to have a relaxing experience and a little treat for myself and instead, I am frustrated that I let it carry on and didn't speak up while I was in there.... and sadly, even if I go back now to say something, what will the outcome be? The service is already done and nothing can be changed about it. It is hard to speak up when you feel like you are just and number and trying to get rushed in and out.

I am happy that there are people who have wonderful experiences there... but it seems like maybe the techs may need more training on the new tools and/or techniques that are out today. Services today vs what was done 20, or even 10 years ago look vastly different and customers are starting to expect better quality for what is...

I went here a couple of times I like it today me and my daughters went and I told them I made appointment 3 pedi two Mani so the lady did my daughter nails and then the lady finish mines told me to have a seat she will do my nails no one came 30 mins so unprofessional I see two nail techs on their phone. I told them I won't get my nails don't worry about it this is what made me mad two ppl walk in and they like we do ur nails really after I sat for 30 mins so I just paid 4 the one Mani for my daughter and the 3 pedi's I guess they knew I was mad lady came to me when my daughter nails was almost done saying I can do it I said no then the tech that's doing my daughter nails saying I'm giving u a big discount listen to what I'm saying and something about taking care of her nails or something first of all she 13 and second u can address me my daughter no nothing of a discount she not paying and really not concern with the cost she aint paying for it and we could barely understand what she was saying they lost 3 customers they over price anyways la nails more cheaper the guy was like he give me 10 percent for the inconvenience naw I'm good I was not going to get out of character with them I will just do reviews..I won't be back there that was very unprofessional to not communicate to me what's going on and if the owner Reading this don't say let's talk to resolve my mind made up won't be back and won't recommend yall talk to ur employees and be more professional and communicate I was on a time table going out of town and was not trying to be there all day that's why appointment was made should been honored instead of trying to do other ppl nails that just walk in with no appointment and I heard the lady say she have no appointment and I'm waiting for 30 mins it's been nice...
