LA Boutique — Attraction in Temple

Hands down beside places for dresses and alterations!! I've gotten at least 3 dresses now from here and every experience has obviously brought us back!!

They have a rather wonderful selection of dresses, when we go at least. They have a clearance rack, in which I'll be honest nowadays bc ppl have caught on and it can be slim pickings at times. But still something can be found regardless since there's such a selection.

Their selection of dresses are very decent, they're all gorgeous, colorful and it's kinda hard to find the same one even. They also have shoes and jewelry, limited but the styles are so pretty and unique!! Hard to choose at times!! XD

Also the staff is VERY helpful, kind, and thorough like omg thorough, Leo( I think, sorreee not good with names) just knows dresses and how each girl/woman can enhance themselves with one of the stores dresses. He can help you find a dress that you didn't think would work, and somehow he makes it work!! You're own fairy godfather of dresses LOLz

So please give them a shot! Very hard to find good dress stores that are very reasonable and beautiful. If you ask they can do payments, depending on dresses. And their alterations are very well done, firm stitching and such, I've yet to have a problem with them. Also their timing with alterations and orders are your typical wait time, providing you place an order in a timely manner of course, they are awesome but they are also human and other people have orders too!

My experience with LA Boutique unfortunately came in the midst of the COVID19 Pandemic. We visited LA Boutique to rent a tuxedo for my son's Senior Prom. We were all very excited about this as he was out of town for the Junior Prom, so this would be his one and only prom. My son picked out, in my opinion only, the most ridiculous looking tux! Lol. He loved it! The staff that was helping us were all awesome. The gave just enough professional opinion to help us choose accessories to the tux that would not look bad, but refrained from trying to sell us something different that what this crazy kid wanted. The week of his prom is when COVID hit. Obviously, LA Boutique was at the point that they already at least began, if not finished, altering clothes to my son's size. This means they were out some money. In spite of that, because prom was ultimately cancelled and my son never got to wear his dream tux, they provided us with a full refund! I was only expecting a partial refund, as I expected they would have to at least recuperate their costs. There are only two places that I know of in Temple to rent tuxes. I can't imagine the magnitude of the financial hit this business took with proms across the county all being cancelled this year. They did this to make sure their customers were taken care of first. The customer service SUCKED at this place. We waited in line for 15 minutes (and that was fine because the gentleman was helping another customer); however while waiting we watched the "wife" display an attitude that was unbelievable. Finally, it's our turn and the "husband" begins to assist us, the store phone rings and the "husband" answers the call (because the wife was toooo busy to be bothered). And I understand that too- I mean, someone has to answer the phone, right? What I don't understand OR accept is that the caller is asking when is the best time to come in and the husband explains that today he's going to Austin and if she wants to meet him at the store tomorrow (anytime after 830am- even though the store opens at 12 on Sundays) he'd be more than willing to come in. The phone call then continues for an additional 5-10 minutes with the caller explaining their needs, and the "husband entertains this call AS IF WE'RE not still waiting at the counter!! Needless to say, we didn't get anything that we came for except HORRIBLE customer service. In the future should you need to visit this establishment you may want to make an appointment so that you can actually have your needs met without a caller...
