Extremely Disappointed – Longtime Loyal Customers of King Noodle 31st St Temple TX Treated Poorly! Never return again!!

We have been loyal patrons of King Noodle on 31st St in Temple, TX, frequenting the restaurant several times a month. Whether dining in, ordering takeout, or using Uber Eats, we typically spend $70 or more per visit. We’ve even introduced friends and family to what we once considered a favorite spot for outstanding meals.

However, our experience on May 1, 2025, was beyond unacceptable.

We sat down, ready for another enjoyable meal. The waitress came over to take our drink order—and got it wrong. I asked for a drink with no ice and received it with ice. My husband asked for sweet tea with ice and didn’t get what he ordered either. Still, we were willing to overlook that.

But as I began to place our food order, her smartwatch dinged, and she abruptly ran off, grabbing her phone from the podium and disappearing into the back near the poke area. No “excuse me,” no “I’ll be right back”—she just vanished mid-order.

My husband and I looked at each other in disbelief. We waited a moment, then got up and walked out. As we were pulling out of the parking lot, she casually emerged from the back room—too late. We took our business to a nearby restaurant that treated us with respect and excellent service.

In my 50 years of dining out, I have never been treated so rudely. King Noodle has officially lost not just our business but also the business of anyone we can convince to steer clear.

Shame on you, King Noodle on 31st St, for hiring staff who show such little regard for customers. We were loyal. We were generous. But now we are gone.Never to return!

I do not accept that excuse! We are in store and we were loyal customers. We know the menu by heart! I was verbally giving her my order and she took oof without saying anything! She could have had someone take the table over after excusing herself!! Horrible customer Service! No...

This is not my first visit but it will definitely be my last visit. I let the first couple times slide with the employees being completely rude for no reason but not this time. The last time I asked for more yum yum sauce and she basically yelled at me saying she already gave me two or three of them for a to go order and I simply let her know I ordered for 5 people and spent about 100$ and she let me know only the habachi comes with the sauce which is ok but it's how you come off to people now today I ordered my food to go and when I made it home I realized the chicken in my dish was under cooked so I put it to the side and came back like 4 hrs later and let her know I didn't not eat the dish at all because the chicken was not cooked and she immediately started going off yes it was I know for a fact it was like she was the one who cooked it she called her staff over they start pointing and speaking their language laughing and such and then other employees joined in making faces and talking about it like it was a problem to let them know the food was undercooked smh I don't like to be treated poorly and before I let these people make me act a certain way I will just choose not to ever come back cause this is more than once they have given such a bad attitude and I know it's not just with me because I was very respectful she just came and brought the remade food to me sat it down and walked off no nothing have a good day nothing...

YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR FOOD EVEN IF IT IS NOT RIGHT OR TASTES BAD!! Manager is unbelievably rude! I eat here often usually have pretty good service but after my experience today not sure I'll be back. One dish of the three we order was not good. It had no taste hardly any seasoning just all around was not good. We asked if we could exchange it and the manager came out and said no, but insisted we still had to pay for the dish. We explained how it had no flavor tasted really watery even look kinda clear. I even mentioned how more than one of the party also tried it and agreed it had no taste and she said that we don't know good taste and that we could add stuff and pointed to the condiments. Then went on the say that of course the party agreed it wasn't good becuase we are family and arent gonna disagree. We asked if we could exchange or take it off the bill as we didn't want to pay for a meal we didn't eat. She said no we have to pay for it and then said she was gonna call the police on us? I guess she took us saying we didnt want to pay for a dish we didnt eat as we arent paying for anything. Which is not at all our intention. We waited 20 minutes for nothing. Paid for the meal that was not touched and no police ever showed. Hopefully she didn't waste their time over nothing. I was absolutely stunned at the stuff she was saying to me and my parents when all we wanted was to...

Well well well..I came here solely for their spring rolls. Worst decision ever! I ignorantly ordered 3 rolls upon my seating. That's how much I love spring rolls. Unfortunately, these were a huge let down. As if they were previously frozen, the center was gooey. That is disgusting! The sweet & sour sauce was...not the best. Granted, the server brought out 2 spring rolls on 3 separate plates. I consolidates them to 1 plate. I asked for my check immediately after that consolidation. After a few moments of trying to get his attention, and after eating ONE spring roll...I asked for them to be removed off of the check. At least 2 of the 3 orders. The server would not oblige. I did not eat them. So just a waste of money. Inspired by Thai cuisine, I tried their spring rolls. 0/10 recommend. I did try Ramen for the first time..not so bad.

We tried this place during the middle of the pandemic, but we got it to go and it was newly opened. At the time, we weren't that impressed. Since it had been a while since we tried it, our family of 6 decided to try it again but this time in person. It was a whole different experience this time. The noodles are made fresh (you can literally watch them make them from scratch). Our group had the following: Spicy Beef noodle soup, chicken noodle spup, stir-fried noodles w/ beef, steamed pork buns, and sesame chicken. Everything was great! All meats were tender, soups flavorful, and noodles were made to perfection. (We were only able to get pics of the chicken noodle and spicy beef soups.) It's very clean, and the service is good. We will be making this a regular place to eat.

I'll start by saying that I had more food but I ate it so quickly I completely forgot to take pictures. The pricing for King Noodle is on par with other restaurants of its kind in the area but the quality and quantity is much better. I recently reviewed another noodle restaurant but will caution others to not go there and choose King Noodle instead. They make the noodles fresh and the takiyaki has amazing flavor. My 3 year old also loves the food there. I will admit that they may not look as fancy as other places at first glance but it's the food that matters. The staff are friendly enough and make sure you have everything you need. The service is timely and you won't have to worry about the food not being worth the visit and price.
