Cotton Patch Cafe — Restaurant in Temple

Have been to this restaurant before and have found that the area is always clean and the service is 5 ⭐ 's. Had New York steak with vegetable and looked baked potato. Steak was mouth watering to the last bite. I still recommend this restaurant for the whole family. Friday, 8th of May. Yeaa! Open for business. 👍👍😀. Limited seating of course but still great food and service. C'mon in !!! 11 July,'20. Everything was wonderful. Food is fantastic, service was excellent 👌👍. Very, very clean and comfortable. 5 🌟's Update: 20 May '21, as always, excellent food and great service. Note: new menu-- shows no prices. 5 ⭐'s to our server, Ashley for help us. 👍👍 Update: May 4, '22. Had lunch today and as always very good. Took a little longer to get served because of staff shortages. But it was worth it. Have to keep the 5 ⭐ rating. Update,Feb 7, 2023. Tried to go for lunch. Sad, 😭, had a 30 minute waiting time due to shortage of staff. They can only seat a few at a time. Never the less, they still have good food. Good luck to Cotton Patch, hoping you'll get fully staffed soon. Update: April 11, 2023. Had to go for late lunch, not very crowded. Had a desire for a good steak dinner. 👍 Mmmmm good. Not a long wait for my meal. Service was outstanding, Taylor was my waitress and did a fantastic job. Tnx Taylor for a wonderful experience at Cotton Patch. 👌 update, 27 June, 2023. Temple Mall is doing a little cleaning up at the side entry to Cotton Patch. Minor inconvenience of a paint odor in the air. Service and food was outstanding. Thanks to DEE, our server, the Sirloin steak was excellent. Floors and restrooms were clean. 👍's up and a 5 ⭐ rating is still here. Update: 13 Oct. 2023. Always a great neat fine service. Taylor was our wonderful waitress today for lunch.she was fantastic. Fact service and good food. I still recommend this restaurant for some good food and great service. 👍's and still a 5 ⭐'s rating. Burnt salmon- TWICE! Waitress said cook told her its supposed to look that way?! WT_?! It was NOT the blackened 1. I just had same dish in Rockwall TX, & it was perfect, so the staff in Temple are either ignorant or lied. Manager asked us to wait 15 minutes so that they could get a table w/staff to wait on us, despite the fact, that we were the only people waiting & there were tons of empty tables. I understand staff shortages, & we did work w/them on this. Person in our party got wrong side, & when squash came, it was so bad could not take a 2nd bite!!! 1 person's chicken fried steak ROCKED, & the other's had a couple pieces of grit-? We were given too few chips for 3 side dips, even waitress commented on it as she set the appetizer down. Waitress was sweet. Potato- cheese soup good, but, super thick, needed water added to it, it was consistency of cold fondue, but it was hot. No gravy on another person's mashed potatoes, after being asked if he wanted it on his mp's, as well as, ordering it that way. Steak was very tasty. Peach cobbler w/good vanilla ice cream . Pecan pie rocked, but, our ice cream had ice crystals. Barely any gravy on chik'n fried steak. Mushrooms were tasty, yum. Fan was right above our table & made our food cold fast.😔 Kinda sad. It was a 1st visit here for 3 of our party of 5. Spent $100.+ Will stick to Rockwall location if we ever try it again. Real old-school homestyle cooking ! I needed a place that cooked from scratch and this place does . I have heart surgery scheduled for tomorrow at the VA and being that I’m from out of town staying at a hotel all the places around here were the standard premade heavy on the salt type food . I thought I would try this one after reading online that it was from scratch . First I was seated and everything was exceptionally clean, and as I was reading through the menu, my waitress walked up, introduced herself, and I asked her for no salt, no sugar type foods, and she informed me that they would actually cook it to my needs . I had grilled chicken That was beautifully, caramelized, grill marks, and yet still juicy inside . I had a baked potato and a salad would just oil one vinegar . Everything that I had was perfect ! I looked at the rest of the menu and I noticed everything from the chicken fried steak the chicken fried chicken as well as large batter fried mushrooms . I so wish I could have eaten some of the other items on the menu . But bottom line I am so happy with my choice to go there. I can’t say anything good enough about the service as well as the food. My waitress as well as the cook the manager just everybody was amazing people . I highly recommend to all my veteran as well as civilian people. This is a place to go if you want good...
