Edit: 3/2024 - Parking Lot Issues The potholes seem to breed. And damage vehicles.
Coming from carwash toward Plant Fitness, there are 2 Stop signs. The first one serves no purpose and needs to be removed. It was left over from before the remodel of parking lot. No reason to stop them drive 30 ft just to stop at the one that's servicing a purpose.
Next, the yellow stripes painted in the entrance and exit to 31st Street dividing each into two lanes is the wrong color. Yellow indicates 2 way and has caused confusion. People who aren't from here are trying to go in the out and out the in. Surely head on traffic in your lane is a bad thing everywhere, right? That seems a liability on the mall owners behalf. The stripes should be white.
Stay away from in front of Planet Fitness unless you drive a vehicle with pretty good ground clearance. The speed bumps there are ridiculous and, as demonstrated by the scrapes and gouges atop them, are too high for most cars. The parking lot would be friendlier and safer if these things were fixed.
Come on folks, you've invested tons of money, how about fixing these issues so the customers who still come to what's left of the Temple Mall don't have to worry about head on collisions, vehicle damage or in appropriate placement of traffic control devices! Edit: 11/2023 Hopefully the potholes will be fixed before freezing weather sets in and makes them worse. Some have been repaired, but more remain and they're in the busiest areas, of course. Edit: 3/2023 The movie theater has closed. Today's Carwash has been built in the parking lot in front of the movie theater next to South 31st Street. At this point, it's just a matter of time it seems. Strip malls seem to be much more popular. Edit: 8/2022 More major retailers have left. The movie theater is the only thing holding it up right now I believe. There's talk that advisors hired to suggest changes to the mall say it should be torn down completely and a different style retail set up should be built in its place. Original Comment: It's okay but it is a dying mall. Major...
Read moreSo sad when I went into the shopping center. It has been a long time since I have been there. All that was has closed down. Dillard's and Penny's is all that is left for the exception of some few small stores and the Cinema. Not a lot of people there either. Cotton Patch and the Mexican restaurant is there also. Just went to Zales during Black Friday weekend. Had to have my watch band adjusted. No problems 😁. The ladies that were there was very nice and had everything done in less than 10 minutes. Thank you so much. Friday,July 8, '22. Mall area closed after 8 pm ??. Only thing open are the 2 restaurants on the north side plus the movie theater. Not much there. The good part is this is a good place for Walkers that do their exercises in a cool indoor area. Take advantage especially where it is so hot outside.🚶👟 👍 Update, 27 June, 2023. The Mall is getting cleaned up. Cleaning plus paint too. Not very many businesses yet but they will cont. Update: 5 Oct, 2023. This place is making progress. Filling store vacancies. Between cleaning, painting and replacing dead greenery is making a difference.. update: 4 Dec, 2023. Mall is being cleaned up. Sad part is not very many businesses are there. Good thoughts: decorations for Christmas 🎄 is there plus Santa Claus. Update. The mall is starting to look better. Sad part is ,not too many stores are there. Looks like a ghost mall. Hurry up and get more store. Biggest complaint is when it rains. Needs a new roof repair. Update: 9 April, 2024. Starting to grow. Just got the new Mega Furniture Store in operations. Still has pot holes on the north entry by Casa Ole. Still lots of spaces inside looking to be filled. Update: 18 November, 2024. Trying to clean the place up. I guess it's a slow, slow process. Lots of vacant areas in the Mall. Need to get some stores in there to draw more people. Right now I only give it 2⭐'s. Hopefully hoping that it gets better. Update: February 14,2025. Still very safe you go here. Like a ghost town inside. The new businesses that are coming in are not enough to draw in the people to...
Read moreI worked here for almost a year and all i could say is boring! There arn't too many options to choose from if you're want to have a day shopping. If you want to do that just drive to austin and enjoy what they have. i can say that there are a couple of places for you to try out, Peggys coffee house which has amazing coffee and different options of flavoring to add to your coffee. Always check this place out the different holidays, the owner is always decorating. Halloween is the best! This place definantly deserves 5 stars and its own place outside of the mall 2. Under my skin which has body jewelry and tattoo supplies, this place just recently started doing body piercings and has a ton of band shirts you can choose from. They also sell locally made stuff such as womens jewlery, clothing and the cool thing about this place is the same guy who owns peggys coffee house is the same one who owns this. This place also deserves 5 stars and its own place outside the mall 3. Jewelry n more is also and amazing place to get that perfect gift for someone or if you want a custom made chain or grill this place can do it all. I recccomend this place because the owner has good financing options and payment options. The owner also runs the candy shop right next door which leads to my other spot to visit 4. The candy shop has different selections of candy and also has energy drinks if you're on the hurry. One thing they have which i am too chicken to try is bacon soda. So to anyone who is willing to try and comment what it tastes like be my guest. This place also has drinks and slushes as an option for drinks. I...
