If you have small children who love โค๏ธ to see fire trucks ๐Ÿš’, lights and sirens ๐Ÿšจ going down the street then this museum is the place to visit. There is two floors with firemen artifacts. This museum has several firetrucks on the 1st floor. To answer any questions about the firetrucks. NO ๐Ÿšซ you cannot sit, climb, or touch any of the trucks. Also on the 1st floor, there is a wall that has several types of fire and police alarms ๐Ÿ””, a display that consist of several fire helmets โ›‘๏ธ, a rack with several firemen coats, a display of firemen badges, and display of hose nozzles. There is a display that shows several fire recuse of brave firefighters saving lives, a display showing the integration of Black Americans firemen ๐Ÿš’, and a plague of all the firefighters who passed away while in the line of duty. The second floor is a learning experience floor. The Fire Safety and Education Center allow children and adults to actually role play fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ encounter in a house ๐Ÿ . The training is under the supervision of the Fire Prevention Bureau. Children are taught what to do if they are ever in a fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ situation such as roll out of bed ๐Ÿ›Œ, keep low to the floor in case of smoke and feel the door๐Ÿšชwith the back of your hand. When everyone has been trained on all the fire safety rules, it is now time to slide down the fire pole. Welcome to the end of your tour ๐Ÿ˜.

One of the nicest, well kept and friendly museum I have visited in years. So much of the history of Toledoโ€™s Fire Departments are located here and are well kept. The gentlemen that will escort you around are very knowledgeable and have plenty to explain. Itโ€™s well worth the stop! PLEASE, they work off donations, so drop a bill or two in the box.

Very interesting to look around and see the old fire engines. The staff provides great information on the artifacts with some of them who have really worked here when this was a functional fire station. The entry is free but you can make a donation.

No air conditioning. Very stuffy. Most of the staff ignored us, but one "was giving us a tour" (that we didn't ask for) and followed us around the whole time. He kept asking us many personal questions, to a point where my teen daughter and I left in discomfort. My husband said that the staff member attempted to show my husband pictures of teen boys that visit his house and asked multiple times for my young sons to come visit him, despite my husband declining each time. I definitely won't be coming here again in fear of being preyed upon and attempted to be groomed by that...

This awesome wonder is tucked away in a place that many pass as they drive by and may not discover. Even Toledo Residents may not know of this very interesting gem. It's a relatively small look into the history of Fire Fighting in the City of Toledo. You get a lot of information very quickly. It's an awesome experience, yet they could use a little more space. See what being a Fireman used to be like compared to today. Meet Firemen from ages past as you read & look at...
